I have been going to Dr. Adam Cooper for twenty years, I can’t speak highly enough of him. I live in Muswellbrook and am happy to travel to see him, very caring, kind and helpful. The nurses and office girls are great as well, excellent practice, wouldn’t go anywhere else despite the distance.

I have been a patient at this practice for a few years now, ever since I discovered it not long after moving to the Maitland area. I see a mature aged male doctor here, Dr Pettit. There are a few good aspects of this practice as compared to some others, one of the good things is that they have a nurse on staff there who typically sees me (and all the patients it appears) just prior to the GP appointment, the nurse always calls me in first in order to take my blood pressure, and weigh me and things of that nature, so they are quite thorough. Another good thing is that it generally isn't too difficult for me to get an appointment even at relatively late notice, such as a day or two before and sometimes if I ring up one morning I can get in for that afternoon. However, some of the negatives about this place is that the Dr I see only is available for appointments about 3 or so days a week, so depending when I get ill or if I need to make an urgent appointment it can present a problem. Another thing is that the last few appointments that I have had I have had to wait quite a significant amount of time past the scheduled appointment tie to be called in, I expect appointments to go a little over time but this was quite a lot. On one such occasion the receptionist told me it was because another doctor was off sick that day and Dr Pettit had to cover their appointments as well as his own. I have been seeing Dr Pettit in recent months primarily for an ongoing female health issue that I have with my ovaries, which causes me discomfort. He was happy to refer me to the specialists I requested and for imaging to be done, so that was helpful. Even though he is a male doctor I don't find him awkward with female issues so he is fine for seeing about this kind of thing.
