Eugowra is a beautiful little town, with heaps of character. The Central Hotel is a lovely old 2 storey country pub, right in the centre of town. We were travelling through, and stopped to look at some fantastic murals of the old bushranger days painted on the walls of several buildings in the town. Advertised outside this pub were '10 meals for $10', so we decided to go in for lunch. Meals included sweet chilli or hamburger or schnitzel burgers and wedges, prawn cutlets with chips and salad, chicken schnitzel with salad or vegies, fish or salt & pepper squid with salad and rump with salad or vegies (huge), etc. All were generous servings and cooked very nicely. We sat in the front bar looking out a window over the town and bridge, there were a couple of other areas to eat also. I believe they have accomodation on the 2nd floor. Service was quick and friendly. The pub, licensee, locals and atmosphere of the place was great. Real good old country- hospitality feel.
And check out the second barmaid behind the counter. She doesnt do much work, and probably wasnt dressed entirely appropriately for bar work, but certainly attracted attention, and provided a good laugh (you will have to visit to see what I mean).

Approximate cost: $10 per main
