I visit this place almost every time I am in Canberra. Great food, super fast service despite the mass amounts of customers always in there. Staff are on the ball and it has a good atmosphere. I highly recommend this place unless you prefer some where quiet and not as busy, but definitely suits my dining requirements.

Very disappointed in my experience here, went to the shops courterpart dumplinghouse in Dickson last month and had a wonderful time so thought why not try the CBD one too. I went in a group with some friends and upon arrival thought why not just get the buffet that seemed to be good value for money at the time. The first dish of spring rolls were fine but when the waitress brought out the much anticipated dumplings I was extremely disappointed, there were two dumplings for each of us and after tasting the first one I chose not to say anything but they were the most disgusting dumplings I've ever tasted. Upon asking my friends after eating a second one i realised I hadn't just somehow ended up with a bad dumpling but all the dumplings they had served us were like this. The dumplings were dry, had no meat, left a horrible taste in your mouth and tasted like they had expired who knows how long ago, I felt like vomiting. Upon looking back at the menu I found them to be listed as combination dumplings. However as I had chosen to ask everyone else only after I'd tasted the second dumpling and they had too there was no evidence for complaints so we just continued, though I ate almost none of the food afterwards. The rest of the dishes were mediocre with the sweet and sour pork as well as honey chicken being more flour then meat and even then mostly fat! I would 100% recommend never going here, the restaurant is opportunistic and is only there to earn as much money as possible, even if the food it's serving is a potential health risk to its customers.

My wife loves dumplings so I'm always looking for a new place to take her. We went to this place for lunch - quite crowded with business types - but we got a table straight away.
Ordered some boiled chicken dumplings - so so, pan fried pumpkin & prawn dumplings - delicious, fried chive dumpling - yum and some hand made noodles with beef - also delicious. Fresh chilli was super hot, Chinese tea was also hot (and real tea i.e.. tea leaves in the pot).
Restaurant quite noisy - had to wave for waiters but not too bad. Loved the experience and will be going back. Four dishes + tea for $43. That included 2 x takeaway containers because we couldn't eat it all. Was good for breakfast on Sunday morning.
Definitely will be going back. Unfortunately they don't do the yum cha thing.

Approximate cost: $43
