This has to be one of Cardiff's best little local secrets. Not all fancy inside, just standard plastic chairs etc and is also BYO – so take an esky if you want to! (conveniently located across from the Thirsty Camel Bottle shop). The best thing about this place is the amazing food! You wouldn't know if from outside but this place is one of the best Italian I've had and one of the cheapest going around. The servings are huge but not over the top. Best is the veal – tender and not overdone. Also big selection of Pizza. They do tend to get a little flustered when they are really busy and we've had a couple of orders mixed up when this happens but it doesn't matter to us because everything on the menu is amazing! Usually Friday and Saturday nights you need to book as it's PACKED! Can get takeaway or when we dine in I try to get a table out in the cute little outside area. It has a real family run homely feel to it and we go there at least once every couple of weeks. Definitely worth checking out!

Approximate cost: $12
