The staff were all beautiful. They were almost too busy to talk. Robot like. Very professional, caring and focused. Patients well being was paramount. Hygiene was top priority. Always, gloves on - gloves off and washing of hands. Always appeared to be working at ‘full steam ahead’ and in cooperation with each other. The food was excellent but a well kept secret was that you could alter the menu to include things in your order. The room was large and roomy. The shower/bathroom excellent. It had its own refrigerator so you could keep food/drink for later - brilliant. The self adjustable beds were second to none and you could watch the AFL matches as they were televised. My stay there was made much more pleasant and enjoyable as a result. It’s nice touch that the staff say hello and smile while walking the wards. The rules to help keep Covid and the flu out of the hospital are excellent with people at the door to ensure they are being complied with. The other support groups provided (physio for example were 1st class and got you back on your feet and walking again. On the down side a small opaque window (in a heritage listed building) gave little natural light and no view but whose complaining with all else provided. Oh, and the aeroplanes flying over are too noisy when sick and not sleeping. 4.5 stars for this hospital.

I have visited Calvary today for a surgery as I cut my hand and 2 tendons need to be repaired. After 1 hour waiting for the paperwork, I have referred to Adelaide Plastic Surgery. After repairing my tendons, doctor Tim issued the Work capacity certificate. According to that, I am fit to perform the suitable duties that accommodate my function abilities from 19/8/2021.
After that, I have tried to explain that it does not work for me as I have been sore and painful but nothing changed.
That night, I contacted Calvary, after a 15 minute chat with several people, the answer I got is I have contact with Adelaide Plastic Surgery.
It is not fair and it is no point as I have spoken to Adelaide Plastic Surgery but it did not work and I was referred by Calvary and Calvary have no responsibility with me while I have chosen to visit Calvary.
Very disappointed with what happened at Adelaide Plastic Surgery. and Calvary as well.

Staff are caring, friendly and efficient. Meals good. Rooms a bit old but would rather money spent on care than painting! Father and mother both patients their in last year. Care of older people is excellent.

My partner was admitted to this hospital and the level of service of excellent. The medical staff were there for all our needs and the surgeon was amazing. The hospital was extremely clean.

I have had a couple of operations at Calvary but only because that is the only hospital my specialist attended. The rooms are very old fashioned and very tired. Definitely not a pleasant place to be when you aren't feeling your best. The maternity ward is definitely not the best example in Adelaide. The staff however are very caring and efficient.
