I went here yesterday with a friend around lunch time and can't say it's bad. They have good coffee and I just love the location. Sit and sip and people watch
this is by one of the worst businesses i have eaten at. the service was bad and when i did get served they stuffed my order up. i do have to say their is a young guy working their for which i have been served by him before and he has the best customer service skills around but i havent sen him their lately ?
Approximate cost: $10
Recently changed hands and is just not the same. Harsh to say, but there are plenty of other options nearby that are far better. However, new owners did say they have a refurbishment planned for later in the year, so hopefully the vibe will be better after that.
This is good lunch place with plenty of seating. The hot chocolate tasted the best of the three reviewed here. It was served in a ceramic cup with a mountain of froth and a sprinkle of cocoa.
Merkel Marmaduke's conclusion is that one can get a good hot chocolate in Adelaide for only $3.00. Don't expect all the trimmings and choose your venues wisely. Café 146 was the winner on taste but an honourable mention should go to the $2.95 hot chocolate from Cocolat, Hyde Park for a good value dining experience.
Regular morning coffee break location - very friendly, good coffee. Can get very busy at lunch times for eat in & takeaway lunches but consider this a positive not a negative - means the food, prices & service is very good! Has wi-fi also.
