5 reviews about Caboose Restaurant

We often drop in here on a weekend for a light bite or coffee.
Our last visit for very disappointing to say the least.
We ordered two dine in coffees, paid almost $8 (fair enough, the coffee is usually good and we were sitting in out of the cold).
After 5 minutes the coffees arrived in takeaway cups, the waitress acknowledged that wasnt what we ordered but dumped them on the table anyway.
Very sloppy service by the barista (who confirmed our order in the first instance) and the waiting staff.

Although the restaurant was quite busy, the staff were still courteous and friendly. The food was very tasty, although there was quite a delay in bringing out the meal (due to how busy it was I guess). The specials board (above the window into the kitchen) is pretty hard to read, and I dont think many diners know it's there until it's pointed out. I would go back there again.

Approximate cost: $25-35

I've been here a couple of times before going to the Regent to see a show (its around the corner), and the food is amazing but dearer than out in the 'burbs. The older I get, the less keen I am about perching on a high stool at a long table, but the convenience and food are still worth it. They also have a huge wine list and seem to do a good trade in after work drinks for the city people.

This place has 3 faces: a coffee bar, little restaurant, and a wine bar. The restaurant is casual and small, but the food is really interesting and nicely presented. Good bread with oil and dukkha comes with lots of fresh water, and the wines are by the glass. A good stop over on the way home from work, or before seeing something at a nearby theatre.

Approximate cost: $20.00
