I decided to do something special for my husband and thought a boudoir shoot was a great idea. I chose Boudoir Image after looking at their website and Facebook page, everyone on there looked amazing! I wanted to create something sexy, classy and unique, Brian most definitely did that! Like most women considering a boudoir shoot I was initially nervous however after a few emails and a phone call my mind was put at ease and I looked forward to the big day. Part of the fun was choosing new lingerie and outfits for the shoot :) It was an exhausting yet exhilarating day, finding out I could feel and look as amazing as the other boudoir image clients was such a confidence boost. I couldn't be happier with the shots, it was really hard to narrow down my favourites for the album! I found Boudoir Image through a facebook advertisement, after following the link through to their website I was presented with a beautiful gallery of gorgeous women all looking rather sexy. I thought they looked amazing, but didn't think I had the confidence to do it, so regretfully I pushed it to the back of my mind. A few days later though I thought 'sod it, I am going to do it, even if I hate the pictures I'm sure it'll be a very empowering experience' (very, very little self-confidence), so I sent through an enquiry and a short while later Brian contacted me and we booked it in. Admittedly I chickened out a few times, cancelled, then re-made the appointment, but Brian was patient and understanding, and so finally the day came and I turned up at a beautiful cottage with the words 'Welcome Kim' written on a chalkboard outside, which made me feel instantly comfortable. When I went in it was warm and cosy, and there were different areas and hidden corners styled out with various 'boudoir' themes. I won't go through the exact details of the day as it should be left to the individual lady to interpret the experience, but I'll just say I wasn't at all scared, I felt beautiful, and by the end, although exhausted from all the 'modelling' (which is more difficult than you'd think, I was like 'I CAN'T make my hip stick out any further!'), I felt really pleased with myself that I'd done it. The photo's were actually a wedding present for my (then soon to be) husband, as well as for myself. He had no idea I'd done it! A few weeks later we went back to view the images, which were presented to us on a huge screen whilst we chilled out on a comfy sofa. There was quit a lot of nervous laughter from my side of the sofa, I'd never seen myself like that before, as well as on such a large screen. My previous thoughts that I might not like them were quickly forgotten. My husband was quietly taking it all in, and afterwards was like 'wow, you're hot!'. We chose the photo's we wanted printing, and received them a few more weeks later. A complimentary wallet sized photo was kindly given to us as well, my husband does keep it in his wallet, and is very proud if anyone sees it (teehee). He's since told me that he was also really impressed by the professionalism of Brian, and how he'd managed to bring out that side of me and capture it so beautifully, (he's a videographer and notices these things!). I'm excited to think that in many years to come, maybe my great, great grandchildren will stumble upon these photo's in the attic, and they'll look at them and say 'Wow, is that great, great grandma Kim? I decided to have the photos taken for my fianc, a gift of love and memories. Not only were amazing photos taken that absolutely left my fianc speechless but Boudoir photography helped me rediscover a part of me that I thought I had lost, my sensual side. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, Brian and his staff made me feel so at ease that the time literally flew. I couldnt believe it when we were finished that most of the day was gone. My body was exhausted but I felt such excitement about the photos. When we came to look at the photos it was incredible, the set up on the big screen to view the pictures and the lounge for my fianc and I to sit on during the viewing, we were made to feel so important.
