Best fish and chip shop in Blackwood! The chips are great and the gravy is very tasty! The chicken hot pack is my favourite. The seafood pack is also yummy and great value! I find I have to share it as it is too big for just me. Good service as well.

We have been buying food from Botanic Chickens for nearly two decades. The ownership changes occasionally but the food is always great. If someone in the family says "let's have some ***** (= the local nickname for Botanic Chickens) tonight," there is a loud cheer all round.

The chips here are amazing - definitely better than any other place I've been to in Blackwood/Belair recently. There's usually a long line to get food, but it's definitely worth the wait

This is what you want in a chicken shop. A clean shop, tasty food and decent prices. Sometimes the staff squabble amongst each other but they are always good to their customers. Their chips are a highlight but their calamari and prawns have gone downhill - they are obviously frozen and reconstituted.

The service is good, the salads are good quality and there's some variety. The chips are well cooked and crisp and usually packed in for good value. The shop is clean and all staff dress in uniform. As a vegetarian, I haven't tasted the fish or chicken but family members tell me it's very good also.
