Have been to Bob Jane 3 times now and were unsure if we should have gone the last time.

We have had 2 cars serviced there, our small car where we had all 4 tyres replaced with good services and our larger car where we have had 1 try replaced due to a puncture and then a subsequent rotate and align.

We were happy enough to go to Bob Jane a 2nd time after a good experience with our smaller car, but we discovered after taking the larger car into service a month after getting the rear tyre replaced due to a puncture that the wheels were not aligned properly and were all wearing.

We had assume the service people were just looking to upsell but sure enough they weren't so we figured it would be easy enough to get Bob Jane to rectify.

In attempting to explain the situation on the phone we had terrible customer service with a stubborn older woman who refused to acknowledge any fault and insisted on it being fixed for full price even though the replacement we had was on record.

It was only sometime later we got this looked at again at our last visit to Bob Jane, simply being a case of not having the time to try and find somewhere else.

They resolved the alignment issues and only charged a reduced rate compared to what was quoted which was good. But when we called for pickup and payment the staff we were met with terrible customer service with the staff member mocking my wife as she went through 3 different cards to pay each being rejected (even though all 3 were functional and the credit cards were nowhere near the limit).

Instead of acknowledging a possible fault we could not pickup the car and she was made fun of during the process.

Being exceptionally busy myself I had to take extra time out of my day to take her and the baby to pickup the car the following morning.

Would not recommend, service quality is variable and customer service is appalling/misogynistic.

The service is prompt and their advisors are very knowledgeable and will give you the best possible deal if you ask for it. They are always friendly and if you wait for your car they ensure it is done with first priority. It is also conveniently located below the Taringa shopping centre and you can walk up and grab a bite while waiting. Otherwise they have a nice little waiting area with complimentary coffee and refreshments for customers.
