As I work in the local area I often pop into the cafe for a quick coffee or a more leisurely lunch. I love the outdoor set up with lots of options for seating both relaxed couches and chairs to more usual tables and chairs. The menu is quite diverse with some good blackboard chef's specials. The price is as expected for this level of quality. The goats cheese tartlet with Cous cous salad is devine! Love the sweet potato chips as well!! Desserts and cakes are great too and the coffee is made to perfection. The play area for the children keeps them safe and occupied so that mums/dads and other diners can have a relaxed lunch. Its also a good place for meetings as long as you avoid the rush lunch periods

Approximate cost: $17.00

Set up a coffee date with a friend - both if us have kids and I must say how surprised at how gorgeous this little cafe was.
We only had coffee & the kids milkshakes, it was wonderful as they do mini shakes for the kids, therefore we don't waste 3/4 of the drink once they've had enough.
I had a look at the menu and was put off a little by the price, although in saying that when I saw the food coming out of the kitchen I would most certainly go back for a meal as it looked amazing with good portion sizes too.
The kids area is fabulous as it's fenced off with turf & a sun shade - the play area and equipment was clean and tidy too. I will definitely be back for a visit, I have recommended it to many people already.

Located inside of the newly re-opened Waldecks in Osborne Park / Stirling, this is a lovely little cafe which promises to become a favourite coffee date. It's an "order and pay at the counter" deal, which is great if you're meeting up with friends and don't want to be dividing the bill at the end. The service was quite prompt and the staff were pleasant.

My decaf latte was lovely and smooth, whilst my friend had a soy flat white (they use "So Good" soy milk). Coffees were reasonably priced, but sadly, most of their mains were a little too expensive for us to indulge in (up around the $20 mark). Having said this however, the food that I saw coming from the kitchen was beautifully presented, and those around us opting for lunch seemed to be tucking into their food very happily.

I feel they could use some extra "snack" offerings on their menu, as not everyone wants to indulge in an all-day breakfast or lunch option. As an example of pricing, their kids menu had a toasted ham & cheese sandwich for $7.50, sweet potato fries on their lunch menu was $8.00 and the soup of the day was $11.50. The cafe has only been opened for a couple of weeks - but they were about half full when we visited on a weekday at lunchtime, and I suspect they would be buzzing on the weekends.

The garden centre also has a small, semi-enclosed play area for very young children, accessed via the cafe, so that is definitely a bonus for parents as well. Given that the outdoor section of the cafe sits out in the garden centre, the surroundings are lovely (though my friend was commenting about the occasional waft of manure - it is a garden centre after all!).

A very enjoyable experience and I look forward to visiting again.
