It was a birthday lunch that turned into a terrible experience.
For a start, they could't find our booking we made over the phone. We had to wait for our meals for an hour and a half and we haven't even been offered a plate of bread. With young kinds that was extremely hard as everyone was starving and kids couldn't sit at the table any longer. When finally the food arrived and we asked what took them so long we were told that they had too many orders. If that was the case, whouldn't you expect a waitress to tell you upfront that a waiting periond could be up to 1.5 hours? We could've ordered and went to a playground or beach and come back when the food was ready. They didn't even apologise for the delay... the waitress turned her back and took off with a stern face... then their eftpos didn't work and I had to swipe my card twice - and I found out the next day that they charged me twice!
The food was very ordinary and certainly wasn't worth waiting for it.
The only good thing about this restaurant is the location. But then you can have takeaway somewhere else and have it on the beach or in a park!
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Shame on the owners and staff.

Bribie island can seem a little boring and uninteresting, but then you pop into the Blue Anchorage and your realise that this is a special place.

Now on Bribie I would rather have fish & chips at a place like Scoopy's (Cheap and basic), but if you want a steak or, as we enjoy a seafood platter (or even a tower), then this is where you come.

We came to a wedding here, it was good. Catered very we'll and the staff were very helpful and friendly

I walked in expecting some decent food, maybe a bit of hospitality but instead i got the most delicious food with the perfect balance of spices! the owners came and greeted us and were extremely polite! an excellent place to go for delicious cuisine and excellent hosts. cheers.

Lovely location great place for a special occasion there menu has delicious options, alittle pricier than i expected but will go again for a special occasion, staff are lovely and plesant

What a beautiful spot to watch the sunset over the water. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The three tiered seafood platter was to die for. Service was great but I have had better. Over all we had a great night and will return again soon.

Not hard to emagine a three tiered seafood treat, fresh, fried and fresh fruit. What else would you order when you are sitting watching the bay, the dolphins and water birds while on holidays. I wish I lived closer. Even IF the food I was served was average (it was very much above average), I would not have cared.. the atmosphere here is amazing. The menu is very well written, it is descriptive and consice, I wanted to try everything. Can't wait for the 3 course and seafood buffet for Christmas Day, hope it's a nice sunny day..

The food is unbeatable! My favourite would be the "Deep Fried Camembert" ... nobody can do it like them! Mmmm .... and gluten free isn't a problem either!!

Nothing comes close on the Island and they have secured one of the most perfect spots! We've been fortunate to see dolphins on occasions. They've got a Gelati bar which is always changing and is divine!! They're open for breakfast on Sundays, but it would be nice to have breakfast available on other days ... :)
