9 reviews about Blow Dry Bar

I popped in here on my lunch break to get a wash and blow dry for a work event that evening. I made an appointment, yet still had to wait 15mins as my stylist wasn't ready. The wash was very rough and my stylist chatted the whole time to another colleague about leaving the milk out of the fridge. My blow dry was good, not great though - no offer of any products to keep it in place or a straightener which would have been nice. However, for the price of $40 was reasonable. Due to the lack of service and care though I will nto be back.

Approximate cost: $40.00

I went here while on holiday in Sydney after reading all of these great reviews. Here is my experience:

1. When trying to book in with Michelle I was told there was no Michelle there, and never has been. I booked anyway.
2. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told my hairdresser wasn't ready yet and I would have to go away and come back.
3. The hairdresser didn't speak to me at all apart from asking what I wanted done to my hair, and spent the whole time complaining to her colleague working next to her that it was too late to be working (it was 8pm) and how she just wanted to go home because she had to get up early to start work again. This made me feel like I was being a big inconvenience to say the least.
4. After spending a maximum of 10 minutes on my hair and taking less than an inch off and not doing anything thinning or texturizing she said she was done. I asked for some texturizing because I have really thick hair, and that is what I went there for. She replied "that won't look any good, it's better how it is now" and walked off, leaving me to take the cape off and walk over to the counter to pay.

I had the pleasure of paying $75 for 10 mintues of being made to feel terrible. When I got home my husband said "I thought you were going to get your hair cut?"
Yep, it was that good.

This hair salon could easily be 5 stars. But they need to keep their price promise "Designer styling without the designer price tag". They offer a cut, colour foils and blow dry 'package' for $120. But they charged me $162 because they added toner & treatment without my consent. The cut was good. However, the hairdresser had put in too many highlights and she added toner to correct her mistake. Mistakes happen. But the salon should bear the cost. The toner washed out within two weeks and then my hair looked bottle bleached. This hurt my confidence going to an interview. I only understood what had happened when I spoke to my former hardresser. I recommend this salon. They do cut hair at short notice - you can walk in or take a call and the styling is good. But tell them you're budget conscious. Say no to toners, treatments or extras so the price promise is in force. And if you hear the word 'toner' - they may be covering up a mistake - ask them to pay for it.

Approximate cost: $162

Went to this hairdressers post reading reviews from this website.
Customer service was exceptional, she was a lovely lady.
Was not so impressed with the colour I recieved. The foils were overly thick and large amount of regrowth was still left post leaving the salon. Asked for a couple brown foils to be place throughout the top ( I am normally blonde) and wound up with nearly half my hair brown - quite a shock for me, as I have always been blonde all over! But otherwise a nice experience, and excellent pricing, very comptetitive and a great hair cut! Best I've had.

needed a new look as i've had the same for 10 years.not only did my hair look fantastic but i gained a friend whom i have now been going to for 7 years. Michelle is by far the best hairdresser i have come along. I have followed her from toorak, to sanctuary lakes, to hoppers crossing. she truly loves her job and it shines through her work. i recommend her to anyone who is looking for only the best result, service, value for money, and most of all a genuine person who loves her job.
