As a pre-children horse owner, now an over protective mother of an 8 year old that will not quit about horses (don't know where she gets it from!!) I decided a few trail rides while we were in the area camping might be fun.
Although Blazing Saddles is not looking quite the tidy/shiny place I'd visited numerous times in my past, it made up for in the service.
Caroline was very accomodating with our bookings. Clearly knowing her stuff.
Our first day my daughter (who is a beginner. Never cantered) rode a gorgeous leopard Appaloosa called Spider. Recommend him to anyone! Awesome horse!
On our day 2 ride out there were a few issues. A scared child (an 8 year old) was delt with beautifully. Adele, our lead rider, although relatively new to Blazing saddles, was able to calm the child & swap her pony with the other staff members pony without a hiccup. The child then completed the ride with a huge smile.
I rode Penny & Bonnie. Both great mounts.
I can't speak for how these horses are cared for as I did not witness any of that, but the ones I rode were not head shy, feet trimmed & nicely built (no ribs).
All in all, I'll be back.

I'm 13 and I love horseriding. But this place is a place that isn't the best you should go to unless ypu want to have a boring time a get knocked into the mud.
The people are quite nice but don't help much. It is covered in mud and they don't make the horses go very fast. They don't care if you get worlds lazyest horse.
Crap! if u want to have a crap horse lesson, go here

Approximate cost: $40
