i went to watch our mate play in a band here and it was a great venue especially to see live entertainment...the dance floor looked very inviting and attracted a crowd,the staff were lovely...great fun

The Black Hatt has changed a lot since it's days as the old De La Ville. I went to see a friend's band play on the weekend, and was surprised by the new look. There is now a new beer garden that opens the pub right up. Combined with a facelift inside, there is a more modern feel now. They are one of the few pubs left still featuring live bands, and it was a fun atmosphere inside. Worth having a look.
