The staff are always friendly when we go there yet the chef needs to be swapped and it is the only thing that let's the place down. Food has not been up to scratch for the past year which doesn't help. with all the great service from Staff and Management, this place could be rocking. So me, I head up for a beer or wine, then I'll go someone else to eat

We had our Christmas work party there, the service was impressive. All the staff were friendly and polite, making the experience even better.

I really love this place. I have been there lots of times and always telling people about it. The food is always great and the atmosphere is always great.

Opted for a Sunday lunch. Didn't book and the venue was very, very busy. Because there was only two of us, we were accommodated. We would not have been surprised if turned away. The selection was solid with a good range. Quality of seafood was exceptional. The steak was a little over done but still tender. Price was more than reasonable, service couldn't be faulted and the scenery over the river topped it off. I will make sure I book in future.

Great food, very reasonable prices, very friendly staff. This was an excellent choice for our dinner with friends. We had a table on the deck overlooking the river and it was very pleasant. I had booked with Jake, and met him and found him to be very friendly and welcoming.

Recently went on a very busy Friday night without a reservation. The head waitress advised a probably 20minute wait at least for a table. We decided to wait at the bar. Didn't have to wait any longer than 8minutes for our table.
Great selection of food, very tasty, attentive staff and real value for money. Lovely venue, great atmosphere. will defiantly be going again.

A birthday party celebration of 12. ALL meals were served together and the waitress was very attentive. They "stored" the birthday cake, added sparklers and presented on a platter covered in sugar / cocoa which looked spectacular. VERY generous sized serves for a good price and the meals were tasty.

Really nice place to eat with all day dining on the weekends. The deck offers a great view and atmosphere. We often go for the roast. I really like their soup too. They have all you can eat salad and vege bar so you will never go home hungry. They do get really busy at peak times so you need to book.

The Birkenhead has wonderful atmosphere, overlooking the Port river. It has an excellent salad bar, with varied salads and vegetables. It has a lovely outdoor eating area too. Prices are reasonable and they have great specials. The Birkenhead Schnitzel is the best schnitzel I have ever had.

I love their schnitzel days for $8.90 and it comes with a salad bar!! The outdoor deck setting that they have is fantastic with a nice view of the new port river expressway and the port. The inside is lined with ancient photos of Port Adelaide in the 1800s..
