This cinema complex needs a serious makeover/ rebuilding. For the price you pay for tickets to see a movie now, you want a comfortable experience that is close to home. But now I am seriously considering not returning to this complex. There is no option for Gold Class or Vmax, and the last time we went, recently, the cinema smelled really bad, like a teenager's room. It was feral....(sorry teens !) ...you can't charge those prices and provide such average service when compared to its counterparts.

The closest cinema complex to where we live at North Lakes is Birch Carroll & Coyle at Strathpine. I know they are not as big as Chermside, but I would expect that they would have all of the latest movies showing there, but that is not always the case. You also need to get into the queue well before the movie because it can take quite some time to get served as the same people who sell the tickets also dispense the popcorn, drinks etc. I know that you can buy online but the website does not have the facility to allocate seats for movie vouchers. The cinemas themselves are definitely showing their age and they have a musty smell - a good revamp would do them the world of good.

Cinemas are really small in size, the snack bar seems to be more expensive than the other cinemas...
Staff are friendly and helpful, the bathrooms need a makeover.

Approximate cost: $15.00
