Reliable japanese. Pricey yes. But you get what you pay for. The standard is always of a high level, service is prompt and professional.

This is a case of 'you get what you pay for' in that it is pricey but it is worth the cost. The food is always satisfying in taste and portion size. Cooked fresh and with quality ingredients and to perfection. Nice selection on the menu, stylish presentation, food in a great atmosphere.

At the Azuma restaurant, there is excellent service here. My family and I often enjoy visiting a new Japanese restaurant. We found a great of Sushi here.

Approximate cost: $12

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Sydney. The food is exceptional, and simply bursts with flavours--I've been here many times over the years, and have yet to be disappointed with anything on the menu. The service is also absolutely fantastic--the other evening, one of the waitresses folded my napkin and replaced it on the table while I was in the bathroom. Although it's quite pricey, I've thoroughly enjoyed every dining experience at Azuma!

I ordered dinner delivered to my office on a regular basis. One of the best places you can get Japanese food in town. Large servings too, which is always a question mark with some Japanese restaurants!

The place always seems to be really full. So if you want to enjoy the food i would recommend you to book before hand. The food is absolutely lovely but it is expensive.
The service is also excellent. This is so far the best japanese restaurant i have been to.

One of the best Japanese restaurents in Sydney. Very expensive, but the food is definitely traditional Japanese! The best choices are the wagyu beef and the skewers. Don't forget to try the rice balls as well.

Find the food here to be of quite a high standard, both sushis as well as the hot food items. Even desserts were kind of satisfying although deviates a bit from the usual Japanese sweet choices, more like westernised in a way.

I did find the Sushi's (sitting at the counter) to be slightly bland in a way, but only because they're fairly traditional and limited with use of condiments/garnishes to enhance the sushi's flavours. Nothing wrong with this approach at all really, but, unfortunately, because Australia doesn't have a lot of fish and shell fish choices, the chef's extra effort put into making the most out of the limited choice of ingredients can make it more satisfying sometimes?

Not as good sushi as Melbourne's top places though. Interesting wine list to go with their food, highly recommend for you to try it.
