Had charcoal chicken from a lot of places but I must say this place has the best tasting chicken and garlic sauce, its always fresh as its always busy. Overall great value for the price and tastes amazing. Love it.

Just a reply to the first post. I think you may have mistaken it with the other chicken shop El Jannah on the corner right opposite subway near the station. THey have really bad service, and hey dont use gloves actually and the place is always untidy and the workers dont even speak english that well and always speak in arabic.now for awafi. The fresh chicken is less than 24 hours old that is used at Awafi because they are always so busy! what they mean by fresh chicken for sandwiches, is that they will get the chicken piece nice and hot off a chicken that is prepared for you then and there, rather than chicken that has been prepared earlier, Les than 24hours ago, and its so cheap like 13 dollars for a mixed plate or something like that. Also, about the catholic thing. El Jannah is owned by Catholics only. Awafi is owned as a partnership by two. A christian family and a smart muslim guy who has turned one shop into three within the space of 2 years. They have shops in punchbowl, and auburn also. I prefer Awafi as it tastes alot better. the garlic is amazing i can eat it with my fingerss! But no, they are not racist, they do use gloves and they are very clean. they get very busy all the time and the sandwiches along with the chicken are the best sellers so i dont see how on earth they would use really old chicken. I reckon its the best tasting chicken in sydney. but you got to try it to know. LOVE AWAFIIIIII YUMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!

It close to my place and my family always buy here whenever we're so lazy to cook. I like the charcoal chicken with tabuli but the price is kinda expensive compare to other shops. OH WELL its worth it by the way.

There is a limit menu but the food here is nice. For approx $13, there is plenty to eat, I got chicken and tabouli, they bought out some lebanese bread, pickles and garlic sauce. I was very full afterwards. Food came out quick. It's great value to and the chicken is to die for. I will be back very soon cos I'll be craving this food.

Approximate cost: $13
