I get really disappointed when chains take over where small businesses once traded.

I understand that's the way the world is going and if the food was just as good, just as cheap, I'd mostly accept that. But the prices at Aroma Cafe are ridiculous. They are not aimed at assisting uni students to keep their costs down, the way the old Uni catering once was.

I bought my friend and I lunch here the other day and we spent $26. We could have eaten in a proper, pretty cafe - somewhere close by in Rundle Street - for the same amount of money.

The food was really average, too. I ended up having a toasted pita thing that was toasted almost hard to a cardboard state and my friend didn't love his roll.

But, it's close, it's convenient. I do hope people choose to see past that sometimes!

The coffee IS good. But then, Rundle Street....

A busy place especially during semester times as its usually full of Uni students. The coffee is great and the meals also very nice but unfortunately the prices of the food items can be quite expensive. There is a large variety from focaccias, croissants, rolls etc to hot food and salads. Salads are very tasty but expensive for the size of the serves. I will continue gong in for my daily coffee but usually stay away from the food unless I'm starving!

Really nice quality coffee there. Resaonable pricing for coffee and cake, but also has a large range of hot food as well. A nice and easy quick stop to have lunch or catch up with friends.

The coffee is exceptionally good. The menu items are pricey as cafes are. It is a small, busy cafe mainly for uni students. Service can be slow during peak periods.

Price is good, however for a uni cafe, would have expected better offers to promote better eating. Good place to relax during uni breaks- in comparison to the cafateria upstairs =S

This is a common place for uni students like me to get lunch given a set amount of break time. Cafe quality food, priced accordingly. Service might be a little slow during lunch time but that's to be expected.
