1 review about Ararat Performing Arts Centre

The venue is well appointed with multiple uses as the floor can be cleared to provide dancing or dining areas, information displays as well as stage performances.
The tiered comfortable seating offers a good view from just about anywhere. The acoustics are fine. On the downside I think the sound system often is turned too loud.
The public toilets are spacious, clean and well maintained, which is very important when serving a large gathering. The foyer is welcoming, as are the staff, and obtaining tickets and information is easy.
Ararat is not a cultural desert. The annual program of performances attempts to cater for many different tastes and are well priced. There is a series of free lunchtime concerts too.
Unfortunately, at a recent ballet performance there was chattering among the staff members who took house seats up the back, which was very annoying. I see no excuse for such ignorant uncouth behaviour! The news photographer click click clicking also was distracting, and detracting from my enjoyment.
