My husband and I went out as we had thought we had found a wonderful lebanese/arabic restaurant as I had heard decent comments about it, were we mistaken!

My first impressions were looks lovely! We were looking forward to a warm, inviting, hospitable restaurant with lovely tasty food. We had $60 to spend for both of us for dinner, I don't eat much, but I had looked at the menu and thought an assortment of mezze's would be terrific and we were looking forward to our meal. Once I had ordered the waitress(lady with dark hair and glasses and apparently a husband who would not leave the bar if they served alcohol at the restaurant - so she said to the table next to us! Poss owner) stared at us with a condescending look and asked 'is that all you are having?' we looked at each other and I said, 'surely $50 worth of mixed entree dishes and dips would be a worthy order of food that would have us leaving satisfied?' She said 'No, it won't be enough, you need a main as well!' so we let her order for us......can you believe it! The mixed mezze entree came out with pickled vegetables from a jar, 2 frozen falafel and a pair of tasty vine leaves with two tiny, very very tiny, dips that would not serve much and a very sad lettuce leaf! she left our dirty plates and cutlery and then when I asked for a clean plate, napkin and cutlery looked at me hard for a full 5 seconds, before saying '...No...You MUST use your soiled starter plates!' I couldn't believe how rude this person, who I think was an owner, was! Indignant, rude and very inflexible, we asked if we could swap the falafel on the main with vine leaves and pay the difference, she said under no circumstances is this possible 'as the vine leaves were hand rolled...' however the falafels were frozen! Perhaps they underestimate the importance of the starters dishes! Unusual for Arabic food! The main came out and there was limp, burnt cauliflower, limp lettuce and tabouli and another pile of dry falafels.....I could not be more disappointed, normally arabic food is tasty, fresh and fantastic and presented from the heart, although some of the tastes were good.

Overall I found there to be no value for money in the food, it was served in very small quantities, we left hungry, and it cost us $50, the service of the lady serving us who I thought was the owner was the rudest I have ever encountered, and we have backpacked and dined all over the world and have always enjoyed ourselves, but this is not what we experienced here. I do believe to have a good feed for two of you, you should expect to pay at least $80-90 if dining here.

I would recommend another Lebanese Restaurant open and serve the amazing cuisine that comes from this region, and I think you would be very successful! I think these owners should close down or perhaps increase the dismal small quantities they serve for too much money and maybe get more friendly accommodating staff and they may do better! by the way there were only two tables of people in the restaurant when we arrived so were not busy!

Approximate cost: $90.00

Sorry for your experience. I will definitely not go there when we visit Mooloolaba next.
