Everyone knows about something ALDI products and prices, so no need to repeat them here again. I usually just go for their special, especially special veges, they are much CHEAPER than the big two. However, lets talk about the down side. I wonder if ALDI pay their employees on time. I never see any one works in any ALDI shop smiles or willing to service their customers. Oh my god, all of them are universally grumpy. The displays are messy and dirty, the pricing is hard to read and flow, the queue is bigger than huge. What else? Last time i dropped by, their efptos was broken, so i wasted 20 mins waiting in the line and got nothing.

Approximate cost: $2-80

Pretty great store. I always come out with more than I expected. The prices are pretty low but not eh best warranty.

Not a place to go to buy 1 or 2 number of items..as you ALWAYS end up in a long queue. Some items are always cheap and good value, but not everything you need is in the shop.

Approximate cost: $various

Everything you'd expect from Aldi store is there. Good prices, with item quality ranging from great to disappointing. Expect to always wait in a long queue to cash register and pack your own groceries.

With the economic downturn still in progress, and considering we all need to eat, do not snub Aldi for providing brand names that you may be unfamiliar with. Aldi stocks meat and vegetables and all other food items that rival the big 2 supermarkets home brands. You will definitely notice the difference when you swipe your ATM card. We had family visit from overseas when residing in Logan City, we did our shopping at Aldis, one trolley full of food to last for a week (for 6 Adults), equated to 95 cents short of two hundred dollars, I honestly thought with that the checkout operator had forgotten to scan some of the items. Aldi does not specialises in bulk buying, Aldi just provides consumers with the best prices.

Steer clear of them if you are wanting to buy anything electrical, I have bought several things and all of them break down, you can't take it back to them like you can with K mart or Big W but have to ring the repairers yourself. I did and was told my closest was back in Sydney, it would of cost me more in petrol to take it there and pick it up then the item was worst. WON'T EVER BUY ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS FROM THEM AGAIN

Would suggest anyone considering a purchase of anything electrical from Aldi think twice about it. Purchased a DVD recorder from them on 17.5.2008 and it has been with their repairer up to this date. They supply a "Warranty" which states "AFTER INSPECTION CUSTOMER CARE WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE YOUR PRODUCT AND RETURN IT TO YOU WITHIN 10 DAYS" - Rang their repairer "Pebbles Electronics" and they never rang back - complained to Aldi H/O Bris and was finaly told to send via mail - sent 12.8.08 - after numerous phone calls and letter of complaint to Aldi H/O Bris it was returned on the 5.11.08 and as it still did not work was returned to Pebbles on 8.11.08 - despite phone calls we are still waiting to find out what is happening - (what occurred to the 10 days)

Approximate cost: $399.00
