I went to Albens/Loose Diamonds International to purchase a diamond. I also decided to get them to make my engagement ring as well (BIG MISTAKE!) which they promised would be ready in 2 weeks. After multiple phone calls, delays, poor communication and excuses my ring was ready 1 week late and 1 day prior to my engagement party. When I collected the ring (which I was told over the phone was 'beautiful') I immediately noticed that the basket holding the diamond was not even on all sides it was unpolished in some areas and the finish was nothing like what I had originally chosen. I was promised to fix the ring but suggested that we pay the full amount for it so I could wear it at the party and return it on monday. We did not take the ring and they stated they would contact us that night to discuss fixing it. They did not contact us. The only good thing out of this whole experience was that they refunded our deposit. I would not recommend this jeweller to anyone it is not just the poor quality of their workmanship but their customer service and communication.
