definitely better places to go than Alasya on Sydney Rd. Their food is disapointing to say the least. My friend ordered a vegetarian dish and we didn't even know what it was made up of, the vegetables were slathered with some kind of thick tomato sauce that was really bland. Food looked and tasted poorly. Service is also poor. This business is not even authentic Turkish food in my opinion.

I love this place because the food tastes amazing! I already love Turkish food and this place is high on my list of places to eat. The atmosphere is great and so is the service.

Huge meal and good quality food for a very reasonable price. We had 9 people and all got banquet menus, great selection of fresh dips, hot bread and perfect meat platters, with delicious desserts. Very fast service.

The only criticism was one dish (russian salad), where cheap mayonnaise had been used and it spoiled the flavour.

have the owners changed , the mixed grill was disappointing , when i order a mixed grill i want meat , the biggest thing on the plate was a slice of egg plant. we ordered the chicken fillets and got this tasteless mushroom sauce on it that tried to hide how dry the chicken was. $15 for calamari , 10 piesces of calamari with chips (I didnt want chips) and a potato salad , i didnt want a potato salad i wanted calamari rings. paid too much for mediocre food. the best things were the bread and dips. i love turkish food but i will try somewhere else next time

Delicious, fresh tasty food. Great value for money. We ordered 6 portions of the set menu and 2 of the kings feast and that was more than enough for nine people. Service could be slightly better, but overall a great place to go. Also very child friendly.

How would I sum up my Alaysia experience in one succinct statement - Value for Money!
The food is good, and if you catch them on a good night, great, and to say the price is reasonable would be an understatement.
But they need to be to compensate for the service.

If you're with a couple of friends and are just out for a casual bite because you're hungry (not for an occasion), Alaysia fits the bill to a T.

The Turkish food here is delicious and one of the best places I have been to. The meal portions fill you up and the pricing is decent. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere but there is room to improves on its looks.

Approximate cost: $20-30
