emailed the company to find out more about the course and everything seemed normal after the checks anyone would have made. a few weeks after I paid for the Diploma course they shut the doors, certainly looks like a scam. [redacted]

I was lied to and ultimately ripped off by Advantage Australia. I have come away after 5 months of grueling Certificate 1V work with nothing to show for it.

Like any other student signing up to do an online course, I did my research and read the following reviews before I signed up. Stupidly I believed them - and I enrolled in good faith. Five months later after completing 95% of my coursework, the company closed - leaving myself and dozens of other students, possibly hundreds, without qualifications, assessments, certificates - or course refunds.

The way this happened is unbelievable. Especially since the company clearly knew they were about to close but instead of coming clean and warning us, they did a ring around to all the students, urging them to send in whatever coursework they had completed. We dutifully dropped everything to do this at our own expense- and then, when they pulled the plug, days later, they said they would only refund money that hadn't been used assessing coursework pro-rota - in other words, we were unlikely to get any refunds because they had allegedly used up our tuition fees assessing the coursework that they asked us to send in days before - except of course that we never saw those assessments, and have not heard a word back since that February 16 announcement!

If you have been a victim of this scam, we urge you to report your experience to W.A Consumer Affairs who are taking it very seriously. In order to act they need all the evidence they can get to stop this company from resurfacing. Don't be a victim of Advantage Training like I was.

This company has knowingly deceived all its students and left us up the creek without a paddle. We are trying to start again with new courses and qualifications but that takes more money and a lot more time. How is this allowed to happen?

Absolutely no morals. They shut down with no warning. Received an email and phone call early February asking how I was getting on and no mention of any problems, then 2 weeks later they close. I'm left with 8 months of study down the drain and as of yet no refund. Received emails telling me not to contact them and no time frame on a refund. Offered to let me pay AGAIN with another RTO thanks for that. Still accepting enrollments in Jan.

Hi, apart from the recent closure of Advanced Training Australia I would say that the service that was provided was great. I know that hard times have fallen on them as the RTO has now closed, a lot of current students have taken an abrasive nature & in some cases it may be justified but we must remember that there is always 2 sides to any story.
It's a shame that a training provider like Advantage Training Australia has fallen to these circumstances, price & learner material was second to none & I hope that the Advantage Training team can move forward to further offer this type of training in the future to all concerned. Qualifications are not cheap these days & I'm glad I got to be part of the Advantage Training Australia team as a student & wish the all best for them in the future.

I just completed the Cert 4 WHS and thoroughly enjoyed the course. The notes were comprehensive, structured and logical and the assessments relevant to the notes. The learner resources that were supplied were very helpful and this course is the perfect example of how a Cert 4 should be conducted! I would recommend Advantage Training Australia to everyone considering studying on-line. Thanks for a great course!

I have completed three Diploma qualifications so far, and this Diploma course (Diploma of Leadership and Management) was the most interesting, comprehensive, well organised and meaningful for me.
I really like the variety of the tasks and activities of researching, calculating, plotting graphs, creating presentations, drawing flow charts and analysing case studies and scenarios.
Assessment Workbook was challenging and the learner guide is a well-prepared source material and covers all the topics.
Thank you for the fantastic course structure, excellent resource materials and quick responses when needed.

Great flexible option for distance learning for nationally accredited courses. I studied the Diploma of Leadership and Management. Great relevant study material enabled me to understand the content fully and complete the assessments successfully.

I highly recommend advantage training for anyone looking to study online, great support, great service, course material is very easy to follow. No issues at all.
