Not great. Any other Asian restaurants around are far better to Addiction. The food was cold and in one dumpling there was a black hair (mine is dyed brown so not mine!) It's a shame because if the food were better this place would probably be a goldmine

I agree with some of the more recent reviewers - we went to Addiction last week after not having been there for a couple of years. The yum cha (though not on trolleys) was very good - great variety of well priced dishes - we were full after 5-6 of them, and its location is excellent - being in the alfresco precinct of Garden City Shopping Centre. Very punctual service also and a good experience all round!

I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about but notice that they are a few years old so maybe it's changed. My daughter and I had a very filling Yum Cha there yesterday. Beautiful, fresh, fast and superb service. Oh yeah and delicious. A good variety of dishes for $4.50 ea. All up it cost us $29 and we were full to the brim

This is a great place to head before or after a movie as it is right next store to the cinemas at Garden City. The yum cha is very yummy and it's been my experience that they usually have a special on at lunch time where all the yum cha dishes are at one low price. I've gone there several times now with my children and have also ordered of the main menu instead of yum cha. Their other dishes are also delicous. It's quite a casual setting, but well worth a visit.f

Not a fantastic experience really. The food was bland (we also asked for extra seasonings to add flavour), poor service, staff responses were slow, we were over charged on multiple items (was meant to be 1/2 price on all mains that night). We just gave up and left - was not worth arguing over. Also, when we asked for water, it took ages to arrive and the staff attitudes changed, like we were there to have a cheap night and not to spend money or something like that. Won't be returning. I have been to much nicer places with far better food, for half the price.

Our family was shopping in the area and decided to try this cafe. We ordered the Chicken Laksa and the Crispy Fried Oatmeal Chicken. Laksa was good and the Crispy Fried Chicken taste awful. We requested for some chilli sauce from the staff but she never came back to our table after that. Instead she carried on with her folding of the cutlery. We then saw baby cockroaches wandering on the window and floor. We waived to the staff and told her about this. Instead of doing something about it, she just nodded her head and walk off, back to her folding cutlery. Immediately, we left the place without much hesitation. The glasses of plain water also has lipstick stains around the rim. Once and never again.

Have only really tried the yum cha menu here, which is probably not anything to boast about. Pretty standard yum cha food made to order with relatively decent prices. Willl go back and try the a la carte menu later.

They serve nice Yam Cha food for a reasonable price. The service is nice, but you need to make sure you order your food in one go, or you'll have to wait longer for a second lot to arrive. I'be veen there a few time and definitely will come back again.

Addiction had lovely food and a great atmosphere. Good location - easy to find. Would visit again.

This restaurant is in a good location. The faults ill lay out now. Garden city from what i heard to pay rent is over the roof, which might explain the prices. Then the food for the price, just not really worth it.
