6 reviews about A Taste Of The Himalayas

Gastric karma sutra, exotic herbs and spices, hinting of many far away places, delighting the taste buds, just enough not to over power, each other. The roti has to be mentioned because it is perfection, beautiful light golden, the crown. The Nepal beer is a must, such a pleasant discovery. The service timely attentive, crisp white table cloths, candle, cosy atmosphere with warm lighting. I cant wait to return. Thank you.

After driving past so many times, I have finally dined at this establishment. And glad I did.
The place is opulant, or at least very traditional. I like the full frontal windows that can open up. Good thing they didn't though as it was freezing! Haha. But they do have heating.
Food was good as was the service.
Would I come back, yes. But very rarely as it's quite pricey

I was enticed by this style of cuisine because I haven't seen it before. I mean what is Nepalese cuisine.
Turns out its similar to Indian food but with a bit more Chinese spices and other fresh ingredients. Upon reading the menu everything looks very tempting and I wanted to order the whole lot, however I did settle for traditional chicken curry and Himalayan smoked butter chicken.
These were indeed different, good different though, nothing like what I normally eat.
Good experience, friendly staff couldn't ask for more in service. It wasn't my cup of tea in taste wise but each to their own.

Approximate cost: $avg

After watching this restaurant for many months and not finding anything on the net we decided to pop in and were rewarded with an extremely pleasurable experience.
We were greeted ever so warmly by a very gracious waiter who looked after us all evening with exceptional service.
The food was divine and by far exceeded our expectations.
A welcome addition to the restaurant scene in our area.
Try it! I don't think you will come away disappointed.

Approximate cost: $20+

This restaurant has only been open for a few weeks and we went there during the week as we had heard very good reports. The service was fantastic. The waiter (possibly the owner) explained what the food was and what sauces went with what. He topped our wine regularly and as we ordered banquets he kept offering us more if we wanted. We didn't need any more as there was plenty there anyway and it was delicious. The chef even came and introduced himself and checked that we had all had enough to eat. We were all very impressed. It wasn't a cheap place to go but it wasn't really over priced either. I will be a regular there definitely.
