Makes me feel like I'm sitting on my grandfather's lap as a child. Happy wise vibes with the smells of premo scotch

Authentic British pub atmosphere. Cosy, extensive menu with good quality food, plenty of drink options and good service. Can get very busy at popular times!

Great food, reasonably priced. General pub fare, but good quality. The beer garden is great but the pub in general is a little bit run down. I haven't seen a band here but apparently it has some good live music.

The Town Hall Hotel was packed to the brim when i went on a Friday night and inside was incredible warm with all the bodies. The meals took quite a while to come out but we were made aware that could be the case and they really were great value. My meal was so large, i just couldn't fit it all in. The back courtyard is a fantastic set-up with bench seating and arranged in such a way that make it feel private. Would be happy to go back.

Been there many a time, a good pub to have a few afternoon beers in, particularly in the beer garden out the back, the food itself is of reasonable quality, classic pub stuff really, prices are reasonable without being super cheap.

eaten here a number of times and the food is always spectacular. the decor is kitsch and cool and the staff match. breakfasts were amazing until they took eggs benedict off the menu. The kangaroo and the Nachos are my favourites. Great desert too

This is some of the best pub food in Melbourne, awesome Kangaroo! It's a very friendly place with great music and a real grungy feel. The food is always really quick too.

Your host at the Town Hall, Johnny, knows his music, his kitsch and his clientele. You may have even seen him on RockWiz on SBS. The place is grungy but that's what we love about it. The crowd is a mix of old-school locals and young hip casuals. Food can be great although the dining room is not for the posh and finnicky. Find your way to the surprisingly nice beer garden and smoke those cancer sticks to your heart's content! Bands too.

Approximate cost: $20
