Definitely one of the best pubs around. It's been redone recently with the owners of Great Northern Hotel in North Carlton taking over. It feels like a local with an informal dining area, a fire in winter and Thursday night trivia. The best part is the amount of craft beer options on tap, so many options that I find myself coming back here every other week to sample a new one. Great place just a stone's throw from the CBD.

Our Ladies lunch on a sunday could not be faulted. Venue is beautiful, staff attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. Drink selections would keep everyone happy. The food was absolutely perfect and presented extremely well. Inventive and successful accompaniments to go with the menu items. I will be going back there in future and recommend The Paace.

THE most wonderful restaurant we have had the pleasure of going to in many many years. from the second we arrived until we left the service was relaxed but so very efficient, the food incredible with a very good menu that would satisfy any-ones palate. And THE best ever dessert menue, plus they have Bearnaise sauce, do you know how hard it is to find a good quality Bearnaise sause, hardly any restaurants theses days make it. Highly reccomend this for a lovely night out in the city

WOW! I don't think I knew what good food was before I went to the Palace. I felt the food was very reasonably priced however the wine on the other hand... LOL. Regardless the food and the service was excellent.

Went for an Xmas function lunch on a Thursday (booked 2 months in advance). We were upstairs in a secluded room and waited 2 hours for lunch, ending up eating after 3pm. Food was average and after complaining they brought us some calamari and salads to appease us, which in their defence was pretty good. Also ran out of the beer we were drinking after 2 rounds. Some people in our group had been there before and said in the past it had been an excellent venue.
