Maybe other people don't care about this but if I go to restaurant serving a particular type of cuisine I like to see that at least some of the staff actually have that background, especially the chef. But in Ruby Raja, I didn't see any Indian staff. The people on the floor were european/aussie and the chef was a friendly looking asian bloke but I'm pretty sure he wasn't Idian.

Nonetheless I have to say the food here seems to be of quite good quality. However, I'm guessing it's been westernised and if you are from India you may not enjoy the food so much. But I am only guessing.

I ordered the ruby chicken, which had a interesting but mild spice that I couldn't recognise. It was quite good. I should say Indian food isn't my favourite cuisine so that is a nice complement coming from me.

The prices are fair but not cheap. I don't know how much they charge for drinks because the ones I bought weren't in the menu. I bought a lemon lime bitter and a mango lassi. I can't believe how cheap they were with the glass sizes! That was a big disapointment I thought. The mango lassi normally served in large smoothie glasses was served in a glass you'd expect to be used for a vodka.

A great restaurant, fantastic decor, very enjoyable. The staff were all professional, helpful and friendly. Our table was well attended to and everyone had a smile. Meals were brought out quickly, the food was great, well cooked and fantastic flavour. Main meals are around $20, with a serve of steamed rice $4 and naan bread $4. The vegetarian options are quite cheaper. There are also a couple of meal options that include a bit of each curry with rice and bread that is better value but I went with the fish masala with rice and naan bread which was great and I certainly was full. We got a couple of entrees which were well presented and very tasty, perfect entree dishes. Our coffees and desserts were well presented and tasty again. The restaurant accepts American Express, Visa, Mastercard and can is also on the Entertainment Book gold card. A fantastic experience, will certainly be back. Our only slight complaint is the lack of car parking available, a bit of a struggle on a Saturday night :)

Fantastic decor, you feel like you're dining in a silver service restaurant. Quick, attentive and friendly service. BEAUTIFUL food, we have eaten at a few Indian restaurants and these guys do it better than most. A hidden gem to definitely go out of your way for.

Very popular curry house that can make it hard to get a table without booking. However, they do offer a pick up take-away service. Staff are friendly and I can highly recommend the Ruby Chicken.

Great place, love the curry taster - its a spice variety delight! The ambience is quite cosy and good for parties. Great kudos of the place from previous WOMOW reviews said I had to try it and I was glad I did.

The food and the atmosphere here is fantastic. I love that there are so many different rooms so that each time you go it is like a new experience. Tricky to get drink service in the back room. The quality of the food guarantees return visits!

Food is awesome and we regulary have take out, but hardly ever get to dine as they are always so busy!!!staff can be a little short at times due to how busy it can be, and food a little expensive, but you pay for quality!

Had a family dinner, we found it was a bit cramped inside and because of that it was uncomfortably hot. Aside from that the food was good and reasonably priced.
