This is a really great, quality 4 star place to stay. It also comes at a significant discount (per night rate) compared to the likes of The Sebel and Novotel, which are located in the center of the more commercial built up part of Manly. Q station is located a short distance from the developed/suburban part of Manly on the 'doorstep' of North Heads sanctuary. You will get a different experience. Instead of the standard professional serviced apartment feel and commercial holiday town feel you are more likely to get staying in the center of Manly, our stay at Q station was really different. It was relaxed, casual but luxurious in a homely way. From the rooms and decor, to the nice 'countryside' surrounds. A great place to go for a weekend away.

They also have conference/wedding and other countryside resort facilities.

We very much enjoyed our four day stay at the old Quarantine Station at North Head with majestic views of Sydney Harbour. The accommodation is accessed via a small bus which will take you to your Third Class/Steerage or Second Class or First Class Precinct. The Wharf precinct has the original boilerhouse and engine room - which has been converted to cafes. The Hospital Precinct and Isolation Precinct offer stunning views of Sydney Harbour. It is truly an amazing experience to stay where those ship passengers who fell ill on their voyage where quarantined for 40 days to recouperate. Not to be missed.
