I have recently got a renewal for 2 car insurances and got shock
i was paying monthly and now they say the monthly option is not available
and now a lump sum or finance will be the only options
for ford fairmont a lump sum of $1404.79 or for finance a deposit of 266.41+1 installment of $72.55+8 monthly payments of $57.55 a total of $799.36
i was paying monthly $42.50 X12 = $510.00 a difference of $289.36 more

for a land-cruiser they now want
lump sum 628.77
or finance $231 56 deposit + 1 installment of $63.44 = $$48.44 8 installments a total of $682.52 i was paying $40.18 x 12 = $482.16 a difference of 200.36

i consider this to be a rip off, there communication is zero i have sent emails but no replies
i cannot see them being in business for much longer, from some reports there are a lot of unhappy customers out there

I purchased car insurance from Ecar Insurance because it is cheap. I made claim in March 2008 & they settled my claim in Nov 2008. They took unnecessary lot of time to settle my claim.

I have logged complaint to ombudsman & they are investigating the case. Ecar Insurance has not followed General Insurance of Code of Conduct. They are not honest & not following any correct business practice.

From my research from google. I found that I am not only victim of this company but there are many of us who suffered. In my case I made them to settle my claim after lot of phone calls. I gone through lot of stress. There are many for whom they have not settle the claim.

talk about a saving we just change from budget car insurance to this insurance company and we saved over 100.00 and we have nil excess this is great as our other company was putting the insurance up instead of down like its meant to be it just proves to shop around and you will win
