I was new to Sydney. I'd let myself go. I asked my friend if he could recommend a place he might know, for a good cut, a smarten up and maybe a foil or two. He told me to ring 53 and have a chat to the crew. So I did - they fitted me in. I talked to Valda who ended up giving me a treatment and a trim. She twirled the tricky curl falling next to my cheek, leaving the rest long, shiny, sleek and almost straight. I've gotta tell you, it looked great. You should try them.

I booked my second appointment with 53 Hairdressing a month and a half in advance. My first appointment was quite good and although the price was a bit steep I was satisfied overall. when i called to schedule my appointment i stresses 3 times that this was for a friends wedding and i needed this particular date and time. 1 day before my appointment at 2:00 pm someone left a message and canceled my appointment. as I was at work at the time I only listened to it at 04:00 and at that point it was too late to try and schedule anywhere else. I tried to call back many times but nobody answered. So - thank you 53 Hairdressing for ruining my experience. I will not book with them again. I

Probably the best salon in Manly. Very talented stylists and colorists who really listen your concerns and give the best advice I have ever had! Now that I have found 53 Hairdressing, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've spent decades searching for the holy grail of hairdressing - I didn't imagine for a moment that it would appear on my doorstep. I came across the team at 53 Hairdressing by accident when my 'incumbent hairdresser' decided to move to Queensland. As it was, I hadn't been happy with my stying or colour for a long time. I have thick hair - it was in poor condition from years of various colour products and the highlights looked like I had a gerbera sprouting out of my head. Thank goodness for Valda and Morgan. They have rescued my hair and my self esteem! I've got a funky cut, great colour and my hair is in the best condition since I had those first highlights pulled through a bathing cap in the '80s! I recommend that those looking for astute and skilled technicians, superb hair products and exemplary customer service can not go past this fabulous team. Thanks for the continuously high standards, freshly brewed coffee and oreo cookies I look forward to my appointments these days! I have been receiving premium results for three years now and would not dream of going anywhere else! I'd rather go grey or shave my head!

Having had a few really disaterous hair cuts and/or colours over the last few years I have become very weary of hairdressers, especially visiting them for the first time! I was recommended 53 Hairdressing by a friend, went for a cut and have since been back for a colour, seeing Tony both times. I think the most important things about this experience are that first Tony LISTENED to my concerns and about what I wanted, and secondly, he KNOWS hair. I have very curly hair and he knew exactly how to treat it, what cuts would bring out the most in my natural hair and when colouring, what would and wouldn't work. He's completely creative with hair and I feel like a new person with fabulous hair! As the review from BeachBird, I would follow Tony anywhere as, more than anything, he has brought back the enjoyment in the whole experience! Thanks to all at 53 Hairdressing!

53 Hairdressing is small, intimate and has a great vibe about it. No pretention, just good talented hairdressers. I have been going to Tony, who works here for years. I would honestly follow him anywhere and I think that says a lot about a hairdresser. Tony is an incredible cutter, and just has this innate ability to give me exactly what I want, everytime I visit. Before I found him I reckon 2/12 haircuts I had a year were good, the rest were average. Now I always get amazing comments about my hair.
