I have been here quite a few times, particularly for perfume for all major occasions, and vitamins, fish oil tablets, etc. It is always busy but I have usually managed to get someones attention and have obtained reliable advice regarding perfumes. They have always been helpful to me. There is another specialty perfume shop that I go to in Parramatta but i mostly purchase from Chemist Warehouse due to the above reasons.

I have a free standing water cooler and I would not drink water any other way. I have reviewed their mobile service on WOMO. It is far more convenient and cheaper than buying bottled water. The main thing that I have noticed is that most bottled water has a plastic taste but with Awesome Water it is always fresh and cold. I clean my unit every month and it has a filter change every 6 months. Our consumption of water has gone up dramatically which is a good thing. I wouldn't drink water any other way, including out of the tap as that doesn't taste anywhere as good (do a taste test).

The food is always fresh and they have a great display. Also the staff is friendly and efficient.

If you go here during rush hour, remember that most of the people waiting near the counter may have already ordered (as there doesn't appear to be an orderly queue), so move close to the till/counter if you can to indicate that you have not yet ordered, then step back after you order. If you have secured a table outside, just tell them, and they will bring the meal to you.

I tend to go there outside peak times due to being a busy shop. It is obvious that they are busy because of regular customers and the high standards that they deliver. In my opinion, probably not the cheapest but one of the better shops.
My recommendation: Egg & bacon rolls, hot chips (seriously they make great hot chips, and their wraps. They have an awesome range of fruit/yogurts as well.

This review is for Benjamin's Bakery, Parramatta NSW

This is one of my favourite lunch shop's in Parramatta. I have tried looking up supporting information for this bakery, but all I could find was a listing from yelp.com.au that lists Benjamin's Bakery with the address incorrect showing as 103 George St Parramatta. Actually it is in Charles St, about number 26 near the corner of George St, Parramatta NSW 2150.

This bakery has a steady stream of customers. It is all from word of mouth, they don't need to advertise as they make the best chicken rolls from fresh chicken and the word spread rapidly. That's how I found out about them, listening to some colleagues raving about their delicious chicken roll. The salad includes carrot, chilli (if required), cucumber, coriander, lettuce, etc and is abundant.

They can also make up fresh meatball rolls, tuna rolls, and also have a decent range of other foods, including spring rolls, pies, sausage rolls, cakes etc They also make a pretty decent coffee, at affordable prices.

I've been known to go there twice on some days: coffee/cake in the morning & chicken roll for lunch. If you go there at lunchtime, join the queue; it's worth the wait. They have enough room inside to sit down to eat. Without fail, I have always found them friendly, quick and reliable.

They are doing that well they have also opened a new shop in the Church St Mall, Parramatta next to the 7-11 store. The address for this should be 260 Church St Parramatta, near where Church St crosses with George St.

I have stopped in here a few times and they have always gotten the order right, and have always been efficient and polite unlike my local store.

There is never usually a long wait at drive through.

Although I generally try and avoid this place because the customer service is about as bad as it gets, I recently had to pick up an order from here via drive-through.

Good news, they got most of the order right.

Bad news, the teenager serving at the drive through gave the impression that the whole thing was a real effort, and that my presence as a customer was somewhat of an inconvenience. She handed me a massive handful of change without any warning which I nearly dropped all over the driveway, and I was on my way.

In comparison, there are other fast food stores in the local area that employ teenagers that mostly leave you impressed.

I purchased online and booked two tickets for the Convict, Castles & Champagne Lunch Tour leaving The Rocks at Campbell's Cove on a vintage 1922 ferry - The Wangi Queen.

Wow, what a pleasant experience. This tour went for 2 hrs 45 minutes and It included a cruise of Sydney Harbour and also an informative guided tour of Goat Island. A buffet lunch on the island was included, and at the moment they also provide an open bar during the cruise and, and also during lunch on Goat Island. Within 5 minutes of boarding we were sipping at Champagne and enjoying the view.

You know when you've had a good time when it's hard to pick out a highlight of the experience. I didn't think I would enjoy the old ferry, but I was wrong it was very smooth, and relaxing.

This is an experience worth repeating as it has all the right elements:-
friendly staff, good food, lots of drinks, great sights, and also it is a very educational experience. Wait until you visit the gun powder magazine and hear about it's history - amazing.

Tickets for this tour can also be purchased from Sydney Tall Ships on Wharf 5, at Circular Quay (www.sydneytallships.com.au) 1800 825 574 or from Sydney Tours and Cruises (www.uniquesydneycruises.com.au) on 02 8243 7963.

This review is for Max Brenner, Blacktown NSW

I visited Max Brenner Blacktown yesterday and I can honestly say there are good and bad points.

Bad: I waited at the counter for 5 minutes for someone to serve me. I had to ask a waiter walking past who would take my order, and it turned out that the disinterested looking guy on the register who wasn't really doing anything was supposed to take it. I guess just standing next to him and looking at him and the menu behind him and…. waiting wasn't enough, I had to walk right up and ask "would you like to take my order". Otherwise it seemed like I would have been there all day.

Good: The food and the drinks were very nice - fresh, tasty and served promptly with a smile.

I would try it again but with reservations. If I was this guy's boss, I would counsel him to try and least show some interest in the customers. While eating there, I watched a customer walk in/out/in/out looking at the various items for sale in the display area. Not one staff person asked if she required assistance (and it wasn't even busy). It's a shame that a place like this is likely to lose customers through an apparent lack of interest….

We are located in NSW and have had a freestanding water cooler from Awesome Water for about 2 years. We saw one on display at the local shopping centre and took advantage of a free month trial. Previous to this we used have a filter that we hooked up to the tap, then went to buying bottled water from the supermarket.

What I love about this system is the 7 stage filtration system (see http://www.awesomecoolers.com.au/awesome-products/awesome-water-filters/) and always having cool fresh drinking water on tap. If you compare this to what comes out of the tap, you can really taste the difference. We clean our unit every month, and our filter is changed every 6months and cleaned. They charge $65 to change your filter which you need to do at least twice a year.

We drink a lot of water and this has saved us a fortune in bottled water. I also like the idea that the water is freshly filtered rather than water that has been sitting long term in a plastic bottle.

I don't think Awesome Water display their coolers at shopping centres anymore in in New South Wales but you can phone the main number and they can send one out for a free trial.
I am really happy with the product and it has encouraged us to drink far more water. We keep a lot of cups handy for guests who can help theirself anytime.

The product and the service from Awesome Waters has been very good and I'm glad I have one of these smart looking units. Ours has a built in mini fridge and hot water outlet as well (although we hardly use it - it is hot enough to make a coffee).

The main website www.awesomewater.com.au links to www.awesomecoolers.com.au which seems to provide the sales and support.

This review is for Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill, Blacktown NSW

Food here was very nice though it could have been a little hotter. I loved the range available, flavoursome and interesting. The place is a little small, but if you can get a day off from work during the week when a bit quieter, it is worth giving Mad Mex a try. I know people that eat here regularly and love it. I'll definitely be back to give it another try.
