My husband and I had a lovely meal here oin Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy (I highly recommend making a booking as there were a few walk ins with a long wait). The service was a bit slow but with the crowd of people dining i guess that is to be expected. The food was great, more upmarket than a lot of other mexican restaurants but of a similar style. They did have a few delicious entrees that were different to the standard tex mex fare (I highly recommend the coyote balls). The only real negative is that it is not really a good place for young kids as the wait times can be long and there are few breakables around the place at heights little hands can reach. There were plently of older kids (over 6) there that seemed to be really enoying the food though.

My family and I stayed here for a few night in may this year. The 2 bedroom apartment was huge and had amazing views of the ocean and magnetic island. It was close to Townsville city and there was quite a lot to see within walking distances. There was some slight issue with noisy water pipes from a neighbouring apartments but this was a minor inconvience from what was overall a lovely holiday experience.

This is a favourite place for me and my work mates to have morning tea. They make a good coffee at reasonable prices and a nice selection of cakes and sweets to go with your coffee. They also make lunch food but I have not tried it so cannot really comment

This is a great second hand book store. They have books on every imaginable topic and is a wonderful place to spend an hour just browsing. I would not say they are the cheapest second hand book store I have been to, but the books are good quality and is certainly worth a visit. They also have a decent selection of sheet music of various types.

This is absolute favourite book store. It is a wonderful little place, that stocks a very large range of relatively obscure books that you are unlikely to find in the regular book stores. It is probably not the place to go if you are looking for the latest new release (although I am sure it would be stocked) but if you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary or a great gift for someone this is the place. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.

They have a wonderful section of eco-friendly products and fair trade products. Everything is very high quality, but this means it is a bit more expensive than some generic stuff you can buy, but the quality makes up for the cost difference. This is one of my favourite places to buy baby gifts for people as they have some unique products people are unlikely to receive 2 of as gifts. The necklace my teething bub could chew on was a fantastic find!

This review is for Cactus Jack's Bar & Grill, Shailer Park QLD

After moving to Brisbane from Townsvile, I was very excited to find a Cactus Jacks a bit closer to home - and it didn't disappoint. The Mexican Matchsticks are just as good as I remember and the rest of the food is great to. It is tex mex style food, but a bit different to the usual mexican restaurants. It would have been nice (for a pregnant lady) to have the toilet located a bit closer to the restaurant though.

We had dinner here last week and had a lovely night. The food was really nice and the service was as you would expect. I have marked down the service slightly because the table we were seated at was still dirty even though the restaurant was almost empty. But the food was great and at a reasonable price. My husbane particulary enjpyed the steak special.

We went to Aqua for their Sunday morning breakfast buffet. At $30 a head you have to eat a fair amount to get your money worth i think. Also as the buffet is only for 1.5 hours (there are 3 different timeslots you can go to) there are hundreds of people all trying to get food at the same time which for us resulted in waits of about 30 minutes before you got anything on your plate at all. There is clearly a lining up system at work, however if one person accidentally queues in the wrong spot it can lead to havoc which happened on the morning in question where people in the queue had passed half the buffet before plates finally appeared. No staff member ever attempted to correct the error and the mistake just perpetuated all morning. Although the food is good, the disorganisation and chaos meant the meal was not as enjoyable at it could have been.

I went here to buy noodle boxes in bulk for my wedding favors, and instead of paying close to a $1 each that they charge in craft stores I got 100 for less than $20. I also recently went here to buy plastic cutlery for my sons birthay party and they were much cheaper here too.
They also sell a large range of take away style plastic food containers and lots of other stationary
