This review is for Sushi Bar, Frenchs Forest NSW

went on an adventure to a new part of Sydney today, was meeting someone in the forestway shopping centre & I saw on their website they had this 'sushi bar', & being a sushi love,m i thought I must try it out! when i got there, i was in for a delightful surprise - they sld black rice sushi & brown rice sushi rolls! (much healthier than white rice!] ... i bought chicken avocado on black rice sushi roll + fresh salmon & avocado on brown rice sushi troll. comes at a price though - $3.30 each but i figure for the better nutrition & longer-lasting fullness it was well worth it! [both are lower GI types of rice!] I look forward to going back, it's worth the scenic bus trip there from the city ... so beautiful~!
if you love healthy alternatives, love sushi & you're in the area, this place is a must-try!

was looking for this place aftr seeing a review on womo .. it's tucked away in the Campbelltown bowling club, but not too difficult to find, just follow the signs to the restaurant!=)but Joe, the owner, is really friendly & knows how to give his customers good service! my meal came out pretty quick for a quiet Thursday night ... just under 10 minutes. i loved the taste of the food, as well as the setting - I noticed the restaurant was quite family-friendly too, so if your family likes something a little more exotic, try here! there's a kids' menu of course :) the only disappointment was having to order rice with my beef green curry which pushed the bill from $12.90 to $15.4 - ... but for rice lovers, it's all-you-can-eat rice for the extra $2.5! the only thing that would keep me from going back is lack of lunch specials... if i were to keep going back, it'd be annoying to have to keep signing in as a temporary member of the bowling club to get in! [not sure how strict they are on that] otherwise a place well worth checking out, if you don't mind passing by a bunch of possibly intoxicated bowling club members to get in & out of the restaurant! [i'm old especially on Friday nights, they get bad]

looking for a yummy, cheap thai/Laos place? met a good brother here for their $9.90 lunch specials. we both had their pork pad thai noodles, the service was great, and the food came quickly, ideal for my good brothers' short lunch break, we left with happy stomachs & wallets! :D i look forward to possibly trying out their Laos menu~!

This review is for Infuzions, Hornsby NSW

got together with two good brothers & looking for a place to eat, feeling in a celebratory mood, we came by infuzions, which had a beautiful interior with a lovely ambience, & food exquisitely presented, but at a price. I ordered the bbq lamb, my brothers ordered the satay chicken salad, duck curry & sirloin steak & we split the incredible looking paradise dessert - but by the time the bill came i was thinking we probably paid more for their exquisite presentation than anything. so if you like to spend big bucks for really incredible looking food, you'd like infuzions. we ended up paying $40 each!

driving back home with a good mate & looking for a good place to stop for dinner, we came across Carlingford Village & decided to have a look inside to see what was there, since we both liked Japanese & Korean cuisine, we thought we couldn't go wrong, trying out Ichirang;)we tried the sukiyaki shared between us both & found the soup, noodles & beef very tasty & full of flavor, i'm thinking we got served so well because we came rather late, but I'm sure the service would still be good on a busy day -- it's not the biggest food court :) if you like Japanese/Korean cuisine & you're in the area, give it a try~!

i heard this place was good so went with high expectations of getting a good cheap meal. instead what do i get surprised with? their policy of no drinks no meal... what a rip off. can't order a meal without paying rip off prices for a drink -- what a joke! so i was going to split a meal with my friend - steak & ribs combo for $21.90 but with 2 drinks ended up costing $30.50!
i only ordered because i was at a friends' farewell - otherwise my money would've been far better spent elsewhere. the food was ok, definitely didn't live p to expectations or justify the hefty price. i certainly won't come back!

This review is for Mamitu Burger, Campbelltown NSW

if you love a good burger at a great price, you must check out Mamitu Burger at Macarthur Square food court [upper level] - they've only opened a couple of months - the chain originated in Amsterdam, apparently :) Sam, the chef, called me out as i was looking for a good feed at a great price after an hour-long exercise session in the pool. it just so happens on Tuesday their burgers normally @ $8.95 are just $7! so i sampled their old Amsterdam burger with grilled chicken for $1 extra, so just $8 total.[bargain!!] what intrigued me with this burger was it had their own home-made peanut butter, and having never eaten a burger with peanut butter, i thought i had very little to lose, but much stomach & body happiness to gain ;) it turned out to really hit the spot, and the home-made peanut butter was a winner! because they're so new, they're still in the process of setting up with a business phone / email / website / fb page. but i will definitely be back, if not for the great burgers, at least for the friendly chat!! ... i very much look forward to sampling the rest of their yummy menu :D all burger lovers, unite!!

wandering around Campbelltown railway station & looking for a cheap eat, i came across Campbell court inn - the sign for $8.50 lunch specials had me sold! the layout inside is tavern-style, and my Szichuan beef came out pretty quick. generously served [a whole lotta rice!] tasty, but a bit too much on the oily side - but what could i expect for such a bargain price!?
