I recently had my hair cut (just a simple wash, cut and blow-dry). It was a very pleasant experience - they offered a freshly brewed tea/coffee while I waited on the leather lounges and watched the flat screen tv. (Some people were offered champagne but I assumed that was for the people having more done to their hair) My hair didn't start getting washed until about 25 mins after my appointment time but it didn't really bother me much because the TV and magazines were interesting enough.

The hair washing was luxurious (massaging chairs can be used if you want) and the hair cut was good too. The girl cutting my hair (I think her name was Sarah) did exactly what I had asked and I'm very pleased with the hair cut.

I went with a friend for lunch - they have a delicious range of baguettes, and I chose the smoked chicken, brie and spicey cranberry chutney one. It took quite a long time for our meal to come out of the kitchen (the people who ordered 10minutes after us, and ordered hot food e.g. pastas, actually got their food really fast and had almost finished before we got our baguettes) When they did come out, the waitress was very polite and thanked us for our patience. The baguette was great value and so delicious.

I ended up going back on my own in the afternoon for some cake and hot chocolate. They have delicious Lindt hot chocolate. They were happy for me to sit at the table and read my book - didn't disturb me too much, but made sure I had everything I wanted.

Peter is so friendly and the service is always great. The food is scrumptious too - I can't go past the classic battered fish and chips, but the grilled fish is also a winner! Best fish and chips in the area!
