AMAZING! This is a great little cafe/bakery and definitely a place I highly recommend to people in the inner west.

They have beautiful freshly made loaves of bread in many flavours and varieties. They use the bread to make the sandwiches they sell - my absolute fave is the smoked chicken sandwich on pumpkin loaf, deliciousness @ only $7.50! I missed the lunch rush once and was devo when there were none left on display but the staff were happy to make a fresh one :) A+ for service! My other fave is the chicken and leek sausage roll served with home made relish.

If you're after something sweet they have many delectable treats - I recommend the plum jam croissants or baked cheese cake.

Reviewing this place makes me crave it - must pay them a visit soon!

Approximate cost: $7.50 sandwiches

This is a nail salon that i thought that i'd try out. They had a 20% grand opening promotion and i was in desperate need to get a re-fill/balance.

Given that it was new the salon was fresh and clean. The staff are very friendly and love a good chat - which can be quite rare. They did a quality job on my nails and were happy to do the a particular signature design that i like on my nails with no fuss or issue (sometimes i find some nail salons unwilling to go above and beyond). The small touches i appreciate at this salon is stuff like real hand towels when you go to wash your hands and also the friendly greeting you get when you walk in having not made an appointment.

I find myself coming back here again and again. They are also open on public holidays which is a bonus

Approximate cost: $40

My favourite bar on Chapel Street! Its a great place to have a big night out and get D&D on the dance floor.

Its not a big place and can get crowded but it has the best RnB music on this street if not Melbourne. The bar staff are cool and don't mind a chat (when they're not swamped by thirsty peeps), the atmosphere is laid back, the decor is out-datedly-in with old arcade games as tables - i think you can play them but i've never tried. The toilets are also quite clean even when its busy.

My friend had her birthday party upstairs which caters for private functions - awesome roof-top bar and the music played downstairs also plays upstairs.

Highly recommend this place if your into your classic RnB music and want an awesome night out. This place has never disappointed me

i have been here a couple of times had have thought it to be a great place to have a couple of bevvys and catch up with mates. The ambience is mellow and has a very relaxing and intimate feel about it.

However my last visit here has left a rather sour taste in my mouth - which was not the result of the cocktails or tapas but of the service.

The guy behind the bar (only 1 of 2 working at the time) was extremely obnoxious. When my mate asked if they had a menu he looked at her as if she had just walked out of a mental institution and told her in the most condesending tone and the widest fake smile that they had no menus and that everything was on the board. We let this slide as hey, its Melbourne, you are bound to get some rude bar service sometimes. Unfortunately it did not stop there. I ordered a cocktail with an unusual name and although i pronounced the name as it was phonetically spelt he patronisingly told me i couldnt have said cocktail and repeated the name back to me with a smirk the way it was suppose to be pronounced and asked if i wanted one of those. My mate then asked for a light beer and the other for a non-alcoholic beverage. He looked at the both of them as if they sprouted second heads and again in his holy-er-than-thou manner told them they perhaps they needed something stronger. Needless to say we did not stay for more drinks and decided to go elsewhere given the toxic attitude.

Shame that one bad experience can ruin a place for you. Other times ive been here it was never that bad...

If i need something quick, cheap, yummy and satisfying to have for lunch this is my go-to place.

They have the most delicious Vietnamese bbq pork rolls. There are other Vietnamese bakeries along this strip but i don't think they come close to Chilli's. Their bread is baked fresh and they use the freshest ingredients and salads in your roll.

This place gets busy around lunch time but the service is quick. At $4 a roll, why would you go past this place!

Approximate cost: $4

Simply amazing - everything here is amazing!
We were greeted very warmly by one of their wait staff who seated us at the bench overlooking the kitchen so we can watch to the chefs at work. The wait staff gave us a run down of the menu which they knew back to front and gave us a few recommendations.

There were so many combinations of flavours and tastes on the menu that all miraculously work together, my partner and i were having a hard time selecting what to eat!

We decided on getting a few of the oysters to start - they have an amazing selection of oysters from all around the country. The ones we got (can't remember the name) were the biggest fleshiest oysters i have ever eaten and they were delicious! I'd come back here just to get into the oysters!

For mains (which are designed to share) we got the pork loin and the steak with a warm zuccini salad and other sides. I think my fave main was the pork although the chef did at one stage catch me gnawing the left over bone of the steak (yes i'm very classy) so its hard to say which i enjoyed the most. He laughed and said "Thats what we like to see".

We would definitely treat ourselves and come back here again. It is a little bit pricey (our bill was around the $200 mark but we were enjoying a few drinks too) but the food and service was worth it.

My girlfriends and i did a bit of a road trip weekend down the coast. We really wanted a night out just boozing it up with a bit of d-floor action. One of the girls had been to Lambys before so we all barrelled in there.

Given that it was still early i the night the place was dead with only a sprinkling of people. When we first walked in i was overwhelmed with the stench of what seemed like old wet mouldy socks and feet and figured it was the carpet which i'm sure they tried in vain to wash out the remnants of the night before. I made a beeline for the bathroom and let me just say... if the bathroom is smelling fresher than the pub it really speaks to the quality of the establishment we were in. eek!

But despite this one little issue (which we got over quite quicly after a couple of shots at the bar) we weren't prepared to pry ourselves from the dancefloor which we had all to ourselves for most of the night until the pub became crowded and became a party

As we came here to drink and not eat i can't say anything about the food. The drinks are your standard pub/club prices ($10 for a Smirnoff Black).

All in all my mates and i had a great time here and could possibly come back here should we find ourselves in this part of Vic again.

I have eaten here a couple of times now and have really liked their menu. I tend to select something different each time and they have never disappointed.

I think my fave so far would have to be the Cassava noodle soup with prawn and pork. My mates never go past the chicken (or beef) on crispy noodles. Their spring rolls are also quite nice.

The restaurant is usually pretty busy especially around lunch but i've no issue getting a table. Also during dinner service the ladies (who i believe are the two sisters themselves) play live music, singing and playing guitar which is quite a treat.

Approximate cost: $15

My date took to me to this place and we had a fantastic time. I thought the food was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. I really enjoyed the home made corn chips and salsa they serve you before your meal as well. The Spanish all-saints-day Frida-Kahlo-esque artwork was also inspiring and blended in well with the overall ambience of the restaurant. The lighting was also very flattering and served me well on my date ;)
Highly recommended!

For ages I've been trying to find a new hairdresser that makes me feel fabulous everytime I go get my hair did - and I'm happy to say that I finally found them! I have a fantastic hip stylist who ensures that i always leave the salon with runway gorgeous hair. She gets what I want and listens to what I need in terms of my hair. The atmosphere at Duffy is fun friendly and vibrant and the staff there are lovely. Recommending them to all my mates
