I love a good 'ol pie and you'll find a huge variety of freshly baked pies and other delectable baked goods here at famous Yatala Pies but I don't love how businesses in this day and age don't offer customers EFTPOS facilities. There is an ATM onsite but I'm sure you pay for the convenience. Aside from that, if you have visitors from overseas and you want to take them out for quality Aussie meat pies (about $4.50 for the plain steak pie), Yatala Pies is the place.

Approximate cost: $4.50

K.M. Smith really exceeded our expectations and provided professional service that was second to none. At a sad time when not much is making sense, they just took care of every detail leaving us to properly grieve both privately and publicly. They deftly took care of unexpected little problems that came up and we felt comfortable enough to trust them to do what they do best. Like ducks, they ensured everything looked smooth and elegant on the surface while they paddled furiously beneath the water working hard for our huge family. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing their services.

Being located so close to a school I really think this bakery would get more business if they reduced their astronomical prices. Sometimes after school it'd be nice to drop in and get the kids a little treat but you won't find anything for under $2 and there are no prices on display anyway. It's a shame we won't be visiting much because their goodies on display really do look delectable and they are indeed fresh, toasty and tantalising.

I accidentally stumbled across this place after seeing their A-frame sign out on the footpath and thought I'd take a peek. It's a warehouse of toys...nothing special about the location but you can find a few nifty little bargains if you have your eyes peeled. They have arts and crafts toys, sporting gear, board games, figurines, educational toddler toys...it's worth dropping by if you don't have anything specific in mind on what to get. Parking is limited but you can drive to the rear of the building.

Took my 5 yr old son here on a whim (walk-ins welcome) and he was given the royal treatment from a friendly hairdresser who even freshened him up with a lemon scented hot towel after his haircut and....a free lollipop! The staff listen to your requests no matter how specific and I get the feeling they have a regular clientele who return on a regular basis. Highly recommended to any male: young, old or in between!

Approximate cost: $19.95

I always get friendly, helpful service here and the pricing is affordable. Great place if you're looking for plain coloured basics like polo shirts and trackpants or zip up cardigans to go with school uniforms etc.

I could spend ages in this store! They always have lots of random clearance items going cheap which is fun to pick through and I was surprised at the huge range of party decorations and character costumes for kids and adults. They even have a cake decorating section and loads of stuff for arts and crafts. Easy parking out front too.

I like to give credit where it's due and this hairdresser was warm and friendly but my husband has done nothing but complain about the poor state of his $26 haircut ever since. Won't be returning.

This review is for Simply Good, Alderley QLD

If you have special dietary requirements and can't find the right ingredients, look no further than Simply Good. They have all kinds of goodies available by the scoopful in a neat organized store. From raw and processed seeds and nuts to beans and legumes, dried or glace fruits, savoury snacks and chips, assorted rices and salts, myriad of cereals, oats and muesli, confectionery, sugars, coffee beans, bread, muffin or pancake mixes and even gluten free products including organic flours. Their range is huge! Know your prices before you go as everything is priced per kilo and you simply pay for the weight of the amount you scoop. Parking right out front but it's on a busy road so best not to go during peak hours.
