This review is for Jimbo's, Eastwood NSW

I bought take-away from Jimbo's on the weekend for dinner. I placed an order via the phone and was advised that the items will be ready in 30 minutes for me to pick up, which was quite good. Ordered stir-fry chicken with cashew and mongolian beef. The dishes weren't superb but I am happy with them. I asked for some prawn crackers and only paid $2 for a whole bag. A little restaurant which is quite busy and always have people waiting to pick up take-away. They have a parking lot directly opposite the restaurant, so it is quite convenient.

This review is for Makoto, Chatswood NSW

I like going to Makoto Sushi train as their sushi are very fresh, some of them are creatively as well. I love the grilled salmon and the scallop sushi the most with lots of mayo. There is always a queue during peak hours where you need to get a ticket and wait to be called. If you sit right in the shop in the further end, the kitchen/ cooking smell tends to get quite strong so I always try to request for seats closer to the entrance. Staff is welcoming and friendly. The price is relatively more expensive than the other sushi trains but if you go there later in the night, past 9pm, the plates are half price as the shop will close soon.

This review is for Caffe Tiamo, Sydney NSW

I was waiting at the traffic light crossing and got distributed a flyer of this new Cafe Tiamo which just opened. Popped in to have a look as it was my lunchtime. Very funky decoration and very comfortable seats. The place is decorated very nicely with lots of greens and a garden theme. The have an extensive list of hot food and hot and cold drinks n the menu. I orders a Seafood pasta and a frappacino. The pasta is very delicious. The serving portion is quite huge too. They close quite late at night so it would be a great place to eat out after a movie or show. I will be bringing my partner there next time to try out their famous burger and other dishes.

This review is for Nazimi, Sydney NSW

I had a lunch catch up at Nazimi Japanese restaurant with a friend. The place is small but the atmosphere is very cosy. The restaurant was fully packed during lunchtime, so it was lucky my friend went there first to get a table. We ordered oysters with ponzu sauce to share, karage, california rolls and eel rice. Everything is delicious and the oysters were very fresh. The karage chicken was yummy and I requested for more Japanese mayonnaise with that. The wait staff were very friendly and efficient, we didn't need to wait for long for the food to arrive. Reasonable price for Japanese meals in the city. A hidden gem in the city area! We will be back again.

Went there for a cut and colour which includes wash and blow dry. A friend gave me a introductory card with a 10% discount so I decided to give it a go. Very nice and huge hair salon with lots of space. The staff couldn't speak English fluently but I showed them a picture from my mobile what I wanted and how my fringe should be, the stylist accomplished that without a problem. The colour the stylist picked for me was quite nice. The cut and colour turned out well. Quite a few of my friends complimented on it. But not sure if I will be back if i haven't got a discount in the future though.

This review is for Fancy Kitchens, Bankstown NSW

We have contacted Fancy Kitchens to do the renovation for our kitchen for our new home based on a friend's referral. We initially have no idea how we should go about it at all. The staff were very patient in explaning the different tiles, splashbacks, materials, drawers, colours combination etc to us and making very constructive suggestions. They came on time to do the measurements, given us a very competitive quote and were very professional the whole way through the renovation. They were helping us to save money as well and suggested we could keep our exisiting oven, cooktop and in which they worked around them. They also have a range of drawer handles which are free of charge. We are very happy with our new kitchen, which has a totally new look and received many compliments from it. Highly recommended!

This review is for Kenzi Sake Bar, Moore Park NSW

verified email - 20 Mar 2013

We went to Kenzi Sake Bar for dinner on a weekday night after work. They have a huge car park where you can park for 2 hours for free, so it was very convenient. Very nicely decorated and very Japanese style. The have an extensive list of Japanese wine on the menu, as well as hot and cold dishes. We weren't sure what sake we wanted to order and the waiter suggested the "Sho Chiku Bai Junmai" and my husband loved it. We ordered some fried lotus, squid and chicken wings as appetiziers and they were cripsy and very delicious. The sashimi platter was presented beautifully and the sashimi was so fresh. My husband ordered another bottle of the Japanese sake at the end. Prices for the dishes were slightly expensive, but still reasonable. We will be back again.

This review is for Waterfront Grill, Sydney NSW

We took our mum to celebrate her birthday dinner at Waterfront Grill at Harbourside. We were given a table outside as the inside were full/ reserved. Beautiful night view of the Darling Harbour, just abit windy though in which the staff provided me a fleecy blanket which was very nice. We have bought a $89 in which you can order up to $200 anything in the menu. We ordered some brushetta, salt and pepper squid and a yellow kingfish rocket leaves salad to share. They were very delicious. For main, we had a 300g srib eye and 500 wagyu beef plus half rack of pork ribs.We ordered a few glasses of red wine as well to go with the steak. The steak were cooked to perfection according to our request of medium rare, very juicy and tender. We were so full at the end but still managed to squeeze in coffee and a vanilla crème brulee to share as we still have quota left on the coupon. The wait staff were very courteous and friendly, asking us if we would like to move inside once there were table available since it was getting windy and cold outside. My mum was very happy and we had a great time. Will definitely go back again!!

This review is for Rice Den, Chatswood NSW

verified email - 18 Mar 2013

My husband and I had a quick brunch at The Rice Den during the weekend after our weekly grocery shopping. Small, cosy restaurant with nice decorations. We ordered a few small dishes to share so we could try different things - San Choy Bao, duck pancakes, steamed rice paper rolls, chicken wings and skewers. The steamed rice paper rolls were very delicious with the sesame sweet sauce with abit of peanut butter. Their menu consists of a mix of different countries' Asian street side dishes. The serving sizes weren't huge but the prices were reasonable. The staff were super friendly, good customer service.

This review is for Chat Thai, Sydney NSW

verified email - 14 Mar 2013

Went to Chat Thai for lunch during weekday and the place was fully packed. I got there early to get a seat for my friend and the staff kept asking when my friend will arrive like 5 times. As the smaller tables were full, we have to sit at a big table sharing with 6 other people. Very noisy place which is abit hard to talk. We ordered a chicken pad Thai and pad siew. Didn't wait for long flr the food to arrive. Serving size is huge and I must say it's quite delicious, the sourness and sweetness balanced perfectly. The staff came around a few times filling up our cups of water. However, just when we almost finished with the dish, the staff came and took them away; and the bill came straight afterwards. Abit of a rush but I will go back for the delicious food.
