This review is for Fairfield Heights Charcoal Chicken, Fairfield Heights NSW

verified email - 04 Dec 2013

Fairfield Heights Charcoal Chicken is located in Fairfield Heights, close to the new Woolworths. We have been to this place off and on for the last 5 years. Sometimes they have great service and other times the need to work on it a bit.

On the good days, the staff are friendly and quickly make your food. The burgers are tasty with lots of toppings. They have some salads in the displays and also some pre-made hot foods.

On some occasions though, the staff have been rushed & too busy to take the time to make the burger correctly. I can recall at least 2 times that I've had to get a refund for an undercooked chicken burger. They offer to make it again but I always decline because the sight of raw chicken just puts me off eating chicken in general for the rest of the day.

My suggestions to them would be to make sure to cook their chicken burgers all the way through and to take more care in putting the sandwiches together because they can sometimes seem messy.

This review is for McAre Medical Center, Fairfield Heights NSW

McAre Medical Center is located in Fairfield Heights. They are on the "main strip" area close to Pizza Hut. The sign says MCARE so I'm not sure exactly how to pronounce this company name.

This little medical center is staffed by some sweet nurses and office workers. The doctor's name is Vincent Nguyun. He is quiet but polite and informative.

I had no issues with my appointment and would consider returning in the future. My suggestion to improve would be some updates to their signs and office. But the whole area needs an update so its not just this business.

This review is for Ninh Kieu Quan, Fairfield Heights NSW

verified email - 27 Nov 2013

Ninh Kieu Quan is a small Vietnamese restaurant in Fairfield Heights. They are located next to Vinnie's. They have large windows in the front with shelves and they're filled with little decorative items and statues. They are cute and nice to look at while you're waiting on your meal.

They have quite a few tables inside, and no outside seating. They can easily accommodate a large party if you call ahead. The tables can be pushed together, so this would be a nice place for a meeting or small dinner with family.

The menu is quite extensive with so many options to choose from. Pretty much anything you want that's Vietnamese, they have it here. Just ask the waitress if you need some help figuring out what to get.

My only suggestions would be to have someone clean up the pretty displays in the window because they are a bit dusty. And maybe have some music playing in the dining area for a bit of atmosphere.

This review is for Beanka Elamar Sweet, Fairfield Heights NSW

verified email - 19 Nov 2013

Beanka is a tiny little cafe & shop in Fairfield Heights. They sell Mediterranean bakery foods. The shop is pretty cute, with a nice display and everything looks clean. There is 1 small table to sit outside but it looks like the owner is always sitting there so I'm not sure that its for customers.

The service can be hit or miss. I've been served quickly before, and other times it can be slow if the worker is chatting with friends. The food is pretty good, and like I said before the shop is clean & tidy.

My suggestion to them would be to get a customer table in case someone wants to eat outside, and work on the customer service a bit.

This review is for Uncle Bill Barber Shop, Fairfield Heights NSW

I was surprised to see someone else had the same type of experience as me. I came here awhile ago to get a basic trim, nothing special. The price was $20.00 which was good at the time, but there are better options in Fairfield now.

The owner Bill cut my hair. I asked to just have to shorter all around, with no styling. He mumbled about doing something I didn't catch. I had to take my glasses off so I didn't really see what he was doing. I guess he didn't like my request because he cut my hair short all over with long, uneven parts in the front.

I was not happy, but in a hurry so I paid and left. If this was a corporation I would have complained to head office but there is no use telling an owner how I feel. He's been in business a long time so my opinion probably wouldn't change his ways. But I won't be back.

This review is for Fairfield Heights Physiotherapy, Fairfield Heights NSW

verified email - 18 Nov 2013

Fairfield Heights Physiotherapy is a little shop close to Pizza Hut in Fairfield Heights. I came here to get some information & help with a neck injury. The staff at the check-in counter were very polite and nice. There was a bit of a language barrier but nothing too bad.

They are a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, which was important to me on my search for a doctor. It made me feel that they really knew what they were talking about.

I had no issues with the appointment or the price. My only suggestion would be to have them work a bit on helping people who struggle understanding accents besides Aussie/American. But again, its not a huge deal.

This review is for Fairfield District Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic, Fairfield Heights NSW

Dr Hongmei Li has a nice little practice. The building is older and needs some updating. They definitely need new carpet. That's the only negative I could mark, so good for them!

The dr has 20 years of experience so that made me feel comfortable getting the medical treatments I needed. Both the dr & the staff were professional and nice.

The prices are average, so no problems there. My suggestions to them would be to update their office a bit, maybe some new paint or carpet. Otherwise, a very nice place!

This review is for Fairfield Heights Auto Service Centre, Fairfield Heights NSW

verified email - 12 Nov 2013

Fairfield Heights Auto Service Centre is close to Domino's in Fairfield Heights. They are the bright yellow & blue building. They have 2 space for cars they are working on, so you might expect a wait. The service workers are very polite, but a bit rushed. This could have been because they are so busy sometimes.

The prices seemed a bit high to me but because I don't know much about car repairs, I really can't say for sure. I did get a quote cheaper at another location so keep that in mind.

I would return here but only if they kept their prices in line with other close businesses.

This review is for West Clothing, Fairfield Heights NSW

verified email - 12 Nov 2013

West Clothing is next to Domino's in Fairfield Heights. The shop is medium-sized and had room to sit if you need to wait on someone. They have some dressing rooms in the back, which are just flimsy curtains so that can make some people a bit uncomfortable.

The prices are average and I got a pretty good deal on shortening some pants. The service is also average but I wish they had someone working there that spoke English a little more fluently. It's not terrible but I was pretty confused most of the time.

This review is for La Tratt, Fairfield NSW

verified email - 11 Nov 2013

La Tratt is an upscale restaurant located inside the Fairfield RSL. I'm going to be honest - I do not like fine or upscale dining. My wife & I came here to celebrate an anniversary but quickly realized that it is not our type of place. But I'm not going to mark them down for that.

The waiter was very formal but nice, He brought out some olives & bread before the meal and they were tasty. We both had the risotto which was a small portion & expensive. But again, its not to our taste and I assume all fine dining is like that.

I have no complaints - the meal was perfectly fine. But we did stop for a burger afterwards because the portion was pretty small. And we felt too awkward to enjoy ourselves. But if you like that kind of thing, I'm sure you'll like this place.
