I have been a devoted follower of the chef for some years now, first in Eaglemont and now in Alphington. All the food is cooked on the premises and is a first rate destination for truly home cooked casseroles, meat dishes, soups, pastries etc, all super fresh and reasonably priced.
This physiotherapy clinic was recommended to me by a friend who had back and knee problems for some time and hadn't been able to have the problem resolved until he went to the Bundoora clinic. I attended the clinic with long standing shoulder problems and was very happy with the treatment.
Melbourne is food heaven but this cafe is outstanding. The food is exceptionally good and the restaurant is always busy, particularly at lunch time when the office workers flood in, but the service is spot on. The prices are very much better than other city restaurants I've been to.

This is a jewel of a shop! A tiny place in the lovely Block Arcade selling antique and antique copy jewellery. The widow display is so tempting, full of lovely things and surprisingly reasonably priced. Worth visiting just to look at the goodies!
This is a very small local salon, attractively fitted out. The owner is an outstandingly good hairdresser who has very loyal clients, some of whom have followed her from previous salons and have been her customers for years.
Approximate cost: $100
Europan has a very simple, stylish interior and a great atmosphere. The locals love it and it's always busy but the service remains spot on. A limited menu of snacks but all very good quality and particularly good coffee.
Approximate cost: $10
This little shop stocks tableware and decorator items with a distinctly French flavour and predominantly white. One of the owners is French and this is reflected in the stock. All the items are tasteful and refreshingly different from what is seen in other stores. The costume jewellery, mostly silver, is lovely too.
A nice big comfortable space to enjoy a very good cup of coffee which happily is more reasonably priced than usual in Sydney. Plenty of take away goodies in the way of honey, biscuits, cake, cheese etc.
This florist shop takes my breath away. The flowers are glorious, top quality and beautifully displayed with a clever use of lighting to bring out their beauty. The loveliest florist shop I have been to.
This restaurant has been consistent in its high quality food and service since it opened some years ago. The menu is varied and every meal we've had there as a family has been enjoyed. The wine list is good, and the service excellent
