Small hairdressers but very good service and prices. They cut our kids' hair for $10 each (if they are pre-school age) and adults' cuts are cheap too. They take their time and are always friendly. Because it's a small shop you get that personal touch that's missing from a lot of the large chains nowadays.

Really fresh flowers, range is not huge but what they do have is very high quality. The prices are also on the high side. The staff are very friendly and are happy to take the time to answer my questions. Highly recommended!

Great chicken and the chips are good too. They have salt and pepper squid too which is beautiful, salads are great too. In fact, all their products are high quality but you have to pay a premium for it...e.g. $7 for a medium chips. Service is very friendly, but a bit slow mainly due to it being busy all the time!

This review is for Uniform Shop, Mount Barker SA

This shop visits our children's school fortnightly and they were very helpful with fitting and selecting the right uniforms. We felt very well looked after. The prices are about the same as other stores that sell brand new uniforms. They have a loyalty program where you can get a discount for every $25 you spend. They also offer a hem service to take in long trousers.

$15 per lesson or cheaper if you buy 4 or 10 at a time. Very competitive pricing. The calibre of instructors does vary a lot though, so you can get lucky and get one with 30 years experience or one who has only just completed their training. The admin staff are very friendly and helpful, they deal with issues in a timely manner.

This review is for Plumber Near Me, Adelaide SA

Called Jim's to unblock a drain in Adelaide metro. They charged me $39 per 15 minutes! Sure the drain is now cleared but for a premium. Plumber was unfriendly, dismissive, left a big mess. Do not use Jim's plumbing in Adelaide, total rip off.

This review is for Potter & Park Optometrists, Aberfoyle Park SA

verified email - 25 Nov 2010

Took our son to get his eyes checked, we advised them at the time of booking that it was for a young child so they can assign the appropriate person. The optometrist we got was terrible with our son, did not have any rapport at all, did not use any child friendly techniques, just treated him like an adult. The actual eye test was not good either, I do not feel the least bit confident that the results are accurate due to his poor communication skills...of course his recommendation at the end was for our son to wear glasses and that his eyes will get worse if he doesn't. I only gave 2 stars for service as the lady at the front desk was very nice.

At this place you can get a ventolin puffer for around $6.50 without a prescription, this is as cheap as I could find anywhere. I used to pay $20 with a script until I found out that you can buy them over the counter one at a time. They have very good bargains and also a good range of perfumes (according to my wife), all pretty good prices too.

This review is for Stepping Stone Happy Valley Childcare Centre, Happy Valley SA

verified email - 04 Aug 2010

This is a relatively new centre, opened last year, so the facilities are all new and clean. The staff are great and always have time to discuss anything we want, most of the staff are from other Stepping Stone centres so they are experienced. The rooms are spacious, they are named after animals (e.g. frog room, spider room), the outside areas are spacious too, includes a sand pit and shaded areas. They practise SunSmart and also have a healthy eating programme. They supply nappies and hats (with child's name printed on it). You need a swipe card to enter the security doors. We are very happy with this place and feel safe leaving our children there.

This review is for Yiros On Henley, Brooklyn Park SA

verified email - 04 Aug 2010

The yiros is close to the best in town, I say close only because the meat can be slightly tough on the odd occasion, but this is rare. They are wrapped perfectly and the salad and sauce are perfect. $8.50 for a good combo yiros is very good value. I've also tried the fish n chips and hamburger, both are also top notch.

Approximate cost: $8.50
