Tasty burgers and good value for money. The inside dining room is quaint and pleasant. The outside beer garden has so much potential for diners and drinkers alike but is under utilised and not decked out to look inviting. Service was efficient and friendly. Good pub food at a decent price.
A lovely venue with better than average food but the service, albeit very friendly was very slow. it took half an hour for our food order to be taken, The wait staff seemed to think that it was good enough that a drinks order had been filled and delivered in the meantime. It took a long time then for our food to arrive. Great place otherwise for a special occasion.
Pasta sauces that tasted as if they were from a jar. My friend and i ordered 2 different dishes that tasted they were made from the same sauce. Service was ok but slow. Considering the high prices this meal was very poor value for money.
Average pub food with way below average service. When you're paying restaurant prices at a pub, you expect fantastic food and good service. You'll find neither here. Waiting 15 minutes just to be served or even acknowledged is not good enough (and it wasn't even that busy).
Fantastic venue, amazing view. The service the night we went for friendly, professional and polished. The food was nothing to rave about - it was trying to be 5 star but it had a lot of failings. A chicken dish was over-salted. It's also very pricey and not good value. Come here for the view - that's about it.
The menu is extremely uninspired and lacking in variety. Meals are average at best. It's an ok place to go for a toasted foccacia but only if you want to pay a lot for the experience. Service is abrupt, impersonal and unenthusiastic but prompt. It seemed like an effort to have to serve us. not good for business!
The dinner menu is tasty and well cooked. Food came out quickly and service was adequate and friendly. Breakfast is a different story. Scrambled eggs were dried out and perhaps sitting in the bain marie too long or otherwise sitting too long before serving. Hollandaise with the eggs benedict tasted as if it came straight out of a packet. Service was slow and not particularly friendly. Staff seem to be going through the motions.
This would have to be one of the more expensive Japanese restaurants in the nearby area but the food is generally of top quality standard. The ingredients are fresh and the food tasty. It gets packed out for dinner -even during the week. We went recently for lunch on a weekday - the service was a bit slow and not particularly friendly, which is unusual for a Japanese restaurant.
The pasta dishes are pretty average and nothing special but this has been a great place for us to go to get a quick meal that is inexpensive. We have tried a couple of the pasta dishes. The lasagne was just OK. Pretty low on meat content but tasty.
I ordered a take away recently. The prices are definitely competitive for the area but I feel the food is only average so dining here is not necessarily value for money. The prawn dish looked to have used frozen rather than fresh prawns and the vegetable content was pretty high. A serve of stir-fried broccoli was on the small side. A plus is that the flavours were fresh and not laden with salt or MSG.
