We stopped for petrol and noticed the adjoining restaurant so we decided to have lunch here. The decor is a little like a steakhouse and they do serve steak but we had a crumbed chicken meal served with chips and fried eggs, a bowl of pumpkin soup served with buttered toast and a bowl of chips and gravy. The service was quick and the food was great.

Don't expect a restaurant in the traditional sense, though it has been set up to be pretty good. Gold Nugget is basically a truck stop and there are lots of massive trucks stopping in on their way through. Great things to see if you're a fan of boys' toys.

The bathrooms were average and in need of a quick tidy up but in general, nothing to complain about here. The food hit the spot, the service is friendly and everything you need is at hand.

We very much enjoyed our meal here. The restaurant itself seems to be a repurposed Chinese restaurant, with Chinese-style lights still adorning the walls but in a strange way, it just adds to the old-style charm.

The menu is as extensive as any Indian menu you'll find and we had a couple of curries, some naan and a mixed vegie platter. The latter was a little average as it didn't seem like any of the items had been cooked fresh, but reheated.

The curries were good though the serves were a little smaller than we'd expected. The naan was very thin and a little lacking in flavour but they did the job of mopping up the sauces nicely.

The service was attentive and professional and we had everything we needed, and in good time. Parking is available right outside and the restaurant is comfortable and welcoming. A Bollywood movie, complete with sing-song soundtrack plays in the background on a wall TV.

No complaints, would be happy to return for another meal.

We ordered a pizza and a caesar salad. The salad was excellent though the addition of the chicken was a bit ordinary as it wasn't grilled, but more like cubes of poached chicken. The pizza was nothing special; I could say the bases seemed like frozen ones, and there was no aroma of yeasty dough in the air in the restaurant so I'm fairly convinced the pizza isn't made fresh.

The service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is not too bad with plenty of space and comfortable tables and chairs.

Plenty of parking outside in the car park or on the street.

Since going there, we've spoken to others who've been who say the pasta is excellent.

We bought a couple of chooks from here and found the availability of stock (livestock and supporting products) to be excellent. The staff are knowledgeable and provide great service, even when you have to call later for advice.

It's great that Northside Produce is in the suburbs and not too far out to drive to be convenient. The premises are well maintained and you're always greeted by lots of animals on the way in, especially the friendly dogs who come out to meet the cars.

If you're looking for live poultry, definitely visit Northside Produce!

We recently rented a ute for the day from Bargain Rent A Car. After shopping around on the Internet and by phone, we found that this company was cheaper than everyone else for what we needed. Lisa, the receptionist is a credit to the company; she knows her stuff, is highly professional and pleasant and seems to go the extra mile.

The ute we hired was excellent; it goes like a dream. The whole transaction from start to finish was impeccable. I believe some of the bigger companies would do well to learn from these guys!

Following the transaction, the company sends a thank you email and a suggestion to provide feedback which in my book, is what all service businesses should do.

Seriously, next time you need to rent a car, try Bargain Rent A Car FIRST.

Approximate cost: $55.00

We had a fantastic Capricciosa pizza and a home made lasagne here. The food was great and the service excellent. Adrian is a master of customer service and very proud of his business (justifiably so). For a Sunday night, they sure make a lot of pizzas and with plenty of staff on hand, the wait isn't long.

You can sit inside or outside and there is plenty of parking. Prices are good, quality is wonderful. Very happy, highly recommend, especially to support your small local businesses.

Really pleased with Esprosini; great service, lovely food and reasonable prices. Plenty of free parking on the premises but the street is a busy, narrow thoroughfare.

Pumpkin soup was delicious and cheap. You can buy a range of coffee making paraphernalia as well as coffee roasted in-store.

Good menu to choose from and comfortable seating inside and outside.

We enjoyed excellent pizzas from Midnight Pizza! The bases are not greasy and the toppings are plentiful without being messy. Love the olives. Instead of those horrible rubber tyre sliced olives, they use good, juicy kalamatas.

Delivery was prompt, prices are good and quality is what you hope for :) Highly recommend.

This review is for Skout Office Supplies, Acacia Ridge QLD

Skout is incredible! I compiled a whole online order with Officeworks only to find that upon checkout, the item I needed soonest was on back order. I had used Skout before a long time ago and remembered them (fortuitously, when I really needed them) so I looked up their website. Not only did they have the item I needed in stock, but my final order was one third cheaper than Officeworks' ... and also free delivery! (Over $50.)

The service is impeccable. When you place your order, you receive email confirmation of your order and payment, automatically. You can pay by direct deposit if you wish but I paid by c/c to ensure prompt delivery. They normally offer next day delivery but my order went through late at night so the extra day was understandable.

The delivery man here in Brisbane is friendly, professional and a great ambassador for the company.

There is no phone number or address for Skout as everything is done online and this is of huge benefit in keeping prices low. If you do need to contact someone, there is an online chat service which I found to be easy and extremely helpful as I was able to speak to the owner himself (in type).

Really impressed by Skout and I urge others to try it too for outstanding low prices, high quality service and to support the small businesses that deserve it.

Just driving past, you feel compelled to stop and go inside thanks to the eclectic array of interesting retro goodies displayed outside. So you go in and you don't know what to look at first! This place is a treasure trove of exciting, fascinating and brilliant knick knacks including ornaments from the 70s, furniture from several decades, classic toys, memorabilia, quirky odds and ends, tools, cameras, lighting, books and soooo much more! It's also somewhat of an art gallery with some fascinating items to be found including a 'lamp' that's made entirely of cassette tape albums.

Ben, the owner, clearly loves what he does and he has a story to tell about many things. Simply point something out and he can relay a tale about it.

Tu m'.Vintage has an exciting future with plans for art shows and other fun events on the agenda.

You really have to go in and take a look around. It's not a dusty, daggy second hand shop, nor is it a high-falutin' antiques shop. Every person will find something that resonates with their passions or experiences from their past. And I guarantee that every time you go in there, even if there's only a day between visits, you'll see things you didn't see the previous time.

Support a local business, make friends with the owner and imagine 'recycling' of the most fun, nostalgic kind.
