We used to go to the old queens park cafe, and it was a great place to catch up, the new cafe is a lot larger and nicer and still a great place to catch up with friends and family. the food quality has always been great. my kids love going there aswell.
as a mum i love coming here, we go to the park and play (wear out the kids) and at lunch time pop up to the cafe, the staff are friendly the prices are good. There's a good selection to choose from on the menu.
i took the kids to lolly pops, and was amazed at the indoor playground. the older kids loved playing on the HUGE slide and the toddler friendly area keeps the younger ones busy. the kids can play safely whilst parents can sit and enjoy a coffee or snack from the cafe. we were introduced to lollypops for a friends bday party and have been again and again since.
Shultes meat, has always been fresh and we have never had a problem with quality (and after years of being a customer). There Mettwhurst my husband and kids can not get enough of them. and the family packs are great. value for money
Only 35 mins or so from Launceston, the drive is so picturesque you won't miss the time at all, the accommodation is quite nice affordable and best of all children friendly, plenty of activities to keep them busy whilst you are relaxing, tennis courts, games room/arcade and indoor pool.
Restaurants and cafes have beautiful menus with Good ol' Tassie produce to back it up, and at a Fair price!
Do yourself a favor and check it out, you won't be disappointed.
If you are a chocolate fiend, this quaint little gem is for you and any other choco-junky you may know.
Only 15 Mins from Devonport and 45 mins from Launceston believe me when i say it is worth you while to make a little detour for a slice of heaven. Anvers has a cafe with a delicious menu, it does get really busy thou, the truffles and fudge are the best i have ever had the pleaseure of eating, they are a bit pricey but OH SO WORTH IT.
If cherries are your thing, this is where you wanna be, with fresh delicious cherries at a reasonable price, recipes, growing info, a cafe with a great menu at a fair price, friendly staff and best of all no too far from the highway and only 10 mins or so from Devonport. the cherry shed is family friendly. and i bought my first bottle of cherry brandy ever. yum
the PBH, is fantastic. its a multi level pub, and is a good start for a night out, or finishing spot, or just a place to have after work drinks. you can have a meal or play pool as well, the PBH is very crowded on weekends. prices are reasonable.
lemongrass thai restaurant, is my most favourite restaurant EVER. Its hidden and we only came across it by accident but so glad we did, it doesnt look fancy from the outside but i have never been able to fault them on anything. The staff are welcoming. There satay is my favourite. the price is more than reasonable.
Mi Hi i found the service was good, however when we went they struggled to keep the buffet full, it wasnt an overly busy night yet the buffet had empty trays. the kids enjoyed the play area.
