visited on ANZAC day just before 9:00 am it was a bizarre experience the door was open the cakes were out but the lights were off and there appeared to be no staff in the shop.
Then this young wide eyed woman appears from nowhere and asks what I want.
I purchased a paper and she was gone.
I was weakening about to buy a bun but she had disappeared.
Perhaps the crossword was calling her.
The diet was safe that day.
It was quite strange and different than previous times I have been in this business in the last 15+ years

very busy with good prices the sit down meals seem popular but I have never had one.
the continental cakes are very good

They regularly have specials that are very good. I bought some bike tubes on one occasion and panniers and a tool kit on another.

both of these were on-line purchases.

Both times it was a quick easy transaction that the items came promptly.

The only problem is hiding said items from my wife:-)

There are some bargains on bulk foods many the best before date has past but things like chocolate.

The real bargains are ephemeral in that once they are sold they are gone if you are not fussy about brands there are some good buys.

You occasionally get a dud but generally you are well ahead.

Rude staff that subbed us.

I went into this shop hopping to spend money the shopkeeper was on the phone and refused to acknowledge us. after being actively ignored for 20 minutes I left. One of the rudest shopkeepers I have ever met.

Great selection of cheeses from the special and exotic to the basic and modestly priced but still great tasting something for everyone.

If you enjoy artisan bread they also have some special breads as well.

good easy take away thats reasonably priced they often seem to close for holidays.

I have been to this shop several times have stock of less mainstream products and the knowledge to know were to get stuff.

Great product knowledge don't buy a bike until you see these guys.

the owner is an older gentleman who is very knowledgeable about bikes

has lots of "dutch" bikes very reasonable prices on parts.

I was trying to get a larger spray jacket.
this was a special order and a challenge they were the only bike shop I tried prepared to do this
