Amazing!!! I think this is the best restaurant/winery I've been to in Australia!!
Beautiful, seasonal food, matching wines, exquisite service, beautiful location and view over the rolling hills.
It's pretty up-market but still has a laid-back attitude and I can't emphasise enough that it is well worth it!
P.S. I think the 2 course lunch (main and entree/desert (any)) was $70.
Approximate cost: $40
Surprise to get such a place in the 'burbs! Yummy food, nice big plates and homely decoration. The place is new and clean and has gorgeous Middle Eastern touches.
The wine list wasn't the best though.
Approximate cost: $25
WOW! This is a great place - for shared dinner, cocktails, desert, or just to quickly come in and check it out. The food is always beautiful, fresh, and creative - modern Thai like no one else does it! I highly recommend trying some vegetarian options, like the silken tofu.
It's pricey though - so save it for a special night if on a budget.
Approximate cost: $35
We go here all the time! It's open late (2am I think) and the blinds are always rolled down so you never know what time of day it is. Feels like something out of a Jacki Chan movie.
Food is always fanastic and fast, and actually tastes fresh. The waiters never change, and the place is always full! Very good value for money here! And make sure to try the quail!! Mmmm
Approximate cost: $25
Yummy authentic Spanish tapas, very cool location. Bar stools throughout amongst southern Spanish tile decor. I love it that you can see the fresh seafood and chefs working away!
Nice wine list too!
Approximate cost: $35
Awesome bar - really kooky and different. Cozy throughout. Easy to meet people here as it's basically an old house and it just feels like someone's house party where everyone knows the host.
Cocktail staff were eager to please, and killed the wait time by engaging conversation.
Interesting shows - hit and miss, but as expected with a burlesque bar.
Really yummy dumplings of all kinds. Coolest part is that there's practically no service - there's a touch screen computer at every table, and you simply order and waiters bring it out to you. Everything came out really fast too, especially drinks. Desert was basically mango mania, but very yummy nonetheless.
Downsides - basically nothing, but if I had to think about it... We were a group of 10, and they catered for us quite well - but it was getting squashy. One girl spilled 2 things on the table, perhaps she was training?
Approximate cost: $15
