I really like Bambusa, I like the modern style to the traditional Chinese cuisines. The staff are friendly and it's nice to see non-Chinese people working there, along with Chinese people. I am not being racist, I think it's a great mix as often I see only Chinese staff at Chinese restaurants.

Anyway, back to the dining experience and cuisines I enjoyed. For the price of $20 to $30 per main dish, this place is really good value for money, given the portions of the main meal.

My partner and I ordered Boneless Roast Duck for around $23 and Deep Fried Crisp Skin Chicken for around $17. They are both very yummy and tasty. The meat is very tender and the skins are all so crisp. Highly recommend these dishes.

They also do cocktails. They have a "Bambusa special". It's really just a Mojito, but the lemony and light flavour goes really well when you are eating dishes that are quite salty, like the crispy chicken dish.

There are a few florist shops around, but this shop seems to always have a good variety of flowers and orchids on display. Especially during special occasions, such as Valentines day. They have lots of funky, but expensive, looking flowers to cheer up your loved one. That said, even though there isn't anything special occurring in November last month, I still manage to get some really cute and boutique style orchid to make my partner smile.

I'm unsure what the quality of its other food on the menu is, but they are definitely no where near qualified to be selling high tea as part of its menu.

Here goes the list:
1) The bread was stale, 2) the finger sandwich fillings were not one bit tasty - tasted extremely ordinary 3) there were no scones!! 4) they put an ugly flower decoration on the second tier to hide the fact there were no food - probably where the scones should have been and 5) even home-branded sweets tasted better than what was provided.

With no exaggeration in time, we left 5 minutes from when the high tea came out and had to look for another cafe to get some lunch in our starving stomach. Even though we left early, we still paid for it.

The great thing about small businesses who only have one or two people working means the owner usually works too.

My partner and I was lucky to be served by the owner of the shop. Not to discredit any of the staff, they were all very knowledgeable about bikes, but because we were dealing with the owner, we were able to get really good deals. We both wanted a new bike and the owner gave us a decent discount given we were going to buy two bikes. He also gave us free back baskets and basket stands too. He also fitted them for us free of charge. To top it off, my bike didn't come with a stand to hold the bike up, he also fitted one of them free of charge.

I got myself a St Tropez model bike, while my partner got herself a retro bike.

Maybe we are just noob when it comes to buying bikes, but we did not get the same service from other bike shops near the neighborhood.

The price is indicative of two new bikes.

I really like this place - the portions are huge. Usually, when you get burger and chips, the burger is a decent size and you get a handful of chips. Not this place, both the size of the burger and the the portion of the tasty chips are larger than normal sizes. However, it's not just quantity, the food is packed with yummy fillings.
I ordered a Mexican chilli beef burger and it really packed a punch in terms of flavour and portion.

This review is for Limelight Cinemas, Greenway ACT

Whenever I tell people that I am heading off to Limelight Cinemas to watch a movie, I usually get two initial responses.

The first is "I have never heard of this place. Where is it?". The second is "OMG, who goes there?! It's all the way in woop woop"

Personally, I don't think Tuggeranong is that far of a proximity to go to watch movies. Especially when you are car pooling or going with your partner. The ticket prices for adults, even for students, is so much cheaper compared to Dende Cinema and Hoyts.

In fact, the only thing people can complain about is the proximity (and actually, maybe the limited variety of shops in the shopping centre). Otherwise, the quality and cleanliness of the cinema is very good. It actually got me by surprise considering how cheap the tickets are.

The ticket is only $11 for adult and $9 for students, compared to Dende prices - $18 for adult and $14.50 for students.

The cold drinks are amazing. I recommend everyone to try the Caramelised coconut iced chocolate. But be warned, you may not be able to fit any other sweet food, so a wise choice is to share this drink with someone else, such as your partner. That ice drink just has all the right ingredients - the vanilla bean ice cream is creamy and yummy, the crunchy stuff on top gives the entire drink a good texture and the chocolate milk itself is so thick. This drink is not a frappe, so there is no ice in it.

With the sweets, I really recommend the Caramel Chocolate délice. For $5.50, it is such good value. The texture is just great - it has a mousse texture, but it's not too soft, it is nice and firm and the bottom of the delice has a really good caramel solid base. The chocolate walnut brownie is also very tasty.

I like the cafe layout - it has the retail and cafe side to it. The retail side sells different tea and teapot accessories. The mix is good because if I like how a tea is described, I can try it before I buy a packet of a tea that I may not like.

There is lots of tea to try. This may be a disappointing place for coffee lovers as this cafe do not sell coffee, but the chai latte are amazing. They even have a chilled version of a chai latte and that is really tasty. So, no matter if it is summer or winter, there is always a chai latte that is suitable for drinking.

The sweets are also quite nice. I really enjoyed my chocolate brownie sundae :)

This is a great place for high tea. The atmosphere and decor is very pleasant and relaxing and they have some really comfortable chairs. The staff is very friendly and professional.

They have two settings for high tea - morning and afternoon session. For morning tea, it is $28 and it is a buffet style high tea. They have croissants and hot and cold pastries to taste. There is also unlimited espresso coffee and tea. Unfortunately finger sandwiches are not included in the morning tea session. I have not been to the afternoon session yet. The staff told me that the afternoon session is not a buffet style, but the traditional style with finger sandwiches. If anyone has been to the afternoon session, please share your experience with us!

I went to this place for high tea with my partner and ordered the "Fashionista High Tea". The petit dishes are amazing. I know it is obvious, but some places offering high tea just don't provide fresh and soft tasting finger sandwiches. This place certainly does. The atmosphere is amazing too. There is relaxing music playing in the background and the gentle and non-permeating incense makes your whole body relax.
